No I don't hate it when I get a random friend request because I don't have to add that user back and I'm not going to especially If I've never meet them or don't even know them. Furthermore I see random friend requests as a sign that I'm getting more and more well known across the board and people see me as a quality contributing member of the board.

I've only gotten one friend request from some stranger

Only from the young ones.
Every now and again it is just a kid that wants to "troll" and "douche out".
But even they loose steam after awhile.
So, No it is not too much of a bother.
Though it is kind of funny when they have an opinion that is always conflicting or polar opposite of yours and they want attention and arguments. Particularly when they are not consistent within the same day.

My favourites are the ones that change religion, nationality, gender, and core value system on a "fair-weather" basis.

I hope it is just a group of kids who mess around the same computer each time cause I can not fathom what any of them hope to get done by doing such a thing.

I used to wait a day or two before I decided on the click-able options.
Now? I wait till they post something that makes me want to read more of their input. If they "Punk out"? They tend to get themselves banned in a month or two anyway so it is not much of a bother.

The Rest just want to game on. Most if not all on my friends list should be solid gamers.

If it was on facebook I sure would hate it.

It has never happened to me before, but I'm sure it might soon. So, I don't really like that because I like to get to know someone before I add them and they add me. I just don't like having a random friend who I don't even know.

Whenever that happens I usually ignore it if it's someone I don't know (as I would rather keep friend lists to a minimum).

Not on Vizzed, but on different websites, it happens a lot. So many random friend requests even though I don't know those people! Seriously. It's not called "Random Stranger Request" for a reason. :

Yeah, it gets quite annoying over time as you find that they are newbies and will probably become inactive over the course of two days. I only accept the friend requests of people that I have seen around the board that I have made some talk with them, or sometimes of I chat with some users. I never add the randoms.

I just got one the other day from a newbie who really isn't even active at all. I don't despise them for doing so, but I would like to know them first before being friends with hem, I have to talk to them and they have to be semi active and well behaved. I am not going to just friend people I don't even know. So this has happened to me where random newbies add me to their friend list, but I don't friend them back if I don't know them and are inactive. So that is my reasoning for that

A lot of the Staff will get that because people just add them so it's easier to get to them if they need to contact them, or because they think they're cool if they have a staff member on their friend's list.

No, it doesn't really bother me when I get friend requests from random users. I don't have any real life friends, so I don't mind if someone wants to add me to their list. If someone seems like a nice enough person, I'll add them to my list. If not, then I probably won't bother adding them.

I had what I think only one random request. I don't mind so I just add them since it's a nice thing to do.

sure friends requests does tend to get annoying after awhile but it is worth having friends on site like this, that way when you get bored of playing games you can talk to them til youre ready to play a game again

I think random friend requests could be kinda annoying, but hey, it's nice to have someone you could meet on the site ^-^
