Hello there! How are you? .. Today I'm going to be showing you how to locate and capture all of the legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Fire Red. This walkthrough will apply to that of Red / Green / Fire Red and Leaf Green too. In order to actually be able to locate these Pokémon you will need to have completed certain missions or quests in the game. You may even need to have completed the game.

I think we should start with the telepathic,
MewTwo. As I said above, you will need to have completed certain missions and quests in the game to even be able to locate and capture this Pokémon. You will also need a list of items and TMs to locate these Pokémon too. I will provide a list of what you will need to capture this Pokémon.

♦ You will need the following TMs to locate this Pokémon - Surf.

♦ Sadly, you will need to have defeated the Elite Four successfully to unlock the cave where this Pokémon is situated. If you haven't then you cannot capture this Pokémon as a guy will be blocking the entrance to the cave and will not move unless you're the champion.

♦ You will need many, many Pokéballs / Ultra Balls / Great Balls / Most Balls, Any Balls! I recommend that you bring approximately 40 Ultra Balls. I have caught this Pokémon in a Pokéball before, he's not all that hard in my opinion.

♦ I recommend bringing these specific items when attempting to locate and capture this Pokémon - Hyper Potions, Max Repels, Super Potions, Max Ether, Full Heals, Ultra Balls, Pokéballs, Great Balls and Escape Ropes. These are essential.

After defeating the Elite Four and have traveled home, take out your flying Pokémon and fly to Cerulean. It doesn't matter how long it takes to get there as the cave will always be open for you to enter whenever you like. After flying to Cerulean, go north and you will see the Nugget Bridge on Route 24, cross it and then head west you will just see a wall with a long trail of grass, travel down this long patch of grass and follow the path. You will now be thinking this is a dead end.. where do I go. Go to the water at the end and this is where surf comes in handy. Use Surf on the water and follow the small stream of water south along until you see a meander in the river (a bend). Before you reach the end there will be a patch of grass, a dude and a cave. Come ashore onto this piece of land and talk to the guy at the entrance, he will now say that you can enter because you're worth, you're the champion. If he's not there just go on into the cave. This cave will test your might and mental well-being! WARNING Pokemon in this cave are levels 50 and above. On the odd chance there will be a level 40.

When you enter this cave you will see many different paths. Look straight ahead for the small body of water. It's directly in front of you. Go to the water and surf on it. Surf North, then west and follow the the water the west. After doing this go the whole way south and then the whole way west, you will then land on an area to the south with the rocks and an item on it. The item will contain a full restore; this may come in handy when you see the rogue of mew. Alright. After getting the item, go south and then head east and go up the steps to the North. You will now be on a small piece or strip of land, follow it and then head north. Do not go up the large ladder, pass it and continue north. You will see another item on you path, the item will contain a max elixir. Now, follow this path west, then south and follow the path until you see a trapped or stuck ladder at the end. You are now closer to MewTwo, but there is still a little bit more to go. Head west and then south, quickly turning east along the FIRST fork in the road. Follow this path along until you reach another split in the path. You will notice that there are three paths at this point. If you go along the FARTHEST to the right. That's the correct path. It will down, right and then north a bit. When you cannot go North anymore, follow the path to the west until you reach an area with a ladder to the north. Go up this small ladder. There will be another ladder south of here which you must go down, so go down it. Now, follow the path to the north and then east, go down the flight of steps and then turn east and north. Keep following this path and make sure you grab all the item balls on the way. You will now reach a small body of water. To the west you will see three rock? Wrong. One of them is MewTwo. In the middle. Surf on this body of water; follow this water to west and north toward the rocks. SAVE YOU GAME AT THIS POINT. Approach MewTwo, he will give you a fierce battle.

Congratulations! You've caught ONE of the rarest Pokémon in the game.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Next on your list will be the three dogs, Entei, Raikou and Suicine. As I said above, you will need to have completed certain missions and quests in the game to even be able to locate and capture this Pokémon. You will also need a list of items and TMs to locate these Pokémon too. I will provide a list of what you will need to capture this Pokémon.

♦ You will need the following TMs to locate this Pokémon - Possibly ALL, or NONE.

♦ Sadly, you will need to have defeated the Elite Four successfully to release him into the wild. If you haven't then you cannot capture this Pokémon as it will not be in the wild and you cannot capture it.

♦ You will need many, many Pokéballs / Ultra Balls / Great Balls / Most Balls, Any Balls! I recommend that you bring approximately 40 Ultra Balls. I have never caught either of these Pokémon before in Fire Red. Good Luck!

♦ I recommend bringing these specific items when attempting to locate and capture these Pokémon - Hyper Potions, Max Repels, Super Potions, Max Ether, Full Heals, Ultra Balls, Pokéballs, Great Balls and Escape Ropes. These are essential.

♦ A Pokémon that knows MEAN LOOK; this will prevent fleeing. - Gengar, etc.

After defeating the Elite Four, these Pokémon will be released into the wild. YOU CAN ONLY GET ONE OF THEM IN THIS GAME. Whatever one you get depends on the Pokémon you chose at the start of the game. If you haven't yet started this game it's really good because you can choose what dog you want.

Raikou

In order to get Raikou you must have started with the Pokémon SQUIRTLE at the start of the game. After defeating the Elite Four this Pokémon will be released into the wild. It will randomly roam the region of KANTO. Not the Sevii Islands. When you first run into it in the wild there is no possible way that you can capture it. This Pokémon will flee on the first turn. DON'T WORRY. This is supposed to happen so don't put yourself down over it. When it flees it will automatically be entered into the Pokédex and you will always be able to locate it. You can track the Pokémon down as its location will always be shown. However, its location will change if you move. So make sure you use tactics to see where the Pokémon is going and run into it. I recommend that you do not fly. If you fly to its location it will just flee to a different town or route. It may be difficult trying to pinpoint its exact location. It will be LEVEL 50 and put up a great fight.

Entei

In order to get Entei you must have started with the Pokémon Bulbasaur at the start of the game. It's the exact same for this Pokémon - After defeating the Elite Four this Pokémon will be released into the wild. It will randomly roam the region of KANTO. Not the Sevii Islands. When you first run into it in the wild there is no possible way that you can capture it. This Pokémon will flee on the first turn. DON'T WORRY. I recommend that you do not fly. If you fly to its location it will just flee to a different town or route. It may be difficult trying to pinpoint its exact location. It will be LEVEL 50 and put up a fierce fight.

Suicine

In order to get Suicine you must have started with the Pokémon Charmander at the start of the game. It will be LEVEL 50 and put up a decent fight.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Next on our list is the three legendary Birds of wrath - Zapdos, Articuno and Moltres. Certain missions and quests will have to be done in order to be within a chance of capturing either of these Pokémon. YOU CAN CATCH ALL THREE.

♦ You will need the following TMs to locate this Pokémon - Surf, Strength & Rock Smash.

Zapdos - Location - Power Plant

To get to the Power Plant, you will need to travel NORTH from the Pokémon Center at Rock Tunnel on Route 10. You will most likely encounter some weak Pokémon in the longer grass here, so be prepared for some battling. You will see a fence, follow it west until there is an opening and there you can surf on a small stream. Surf on this body of water EAST and then follow SOUTH. Don't worry you cannot mess that up, as there is only one way the water flows. There will be a shoreline further south, approach it and come ashore. Go WEST and you should see the Power Plant. I recommend saving here as it if you get defeated by the Voltorbs that are inside it, you may have to make your way down the river channel again.

From the entrance of the Power Plant, go NORTH and you will find a MAX POTION which will come in handy later. Travel around the corner and then proceed EAST. After doing this, go SOUTH around the rocks. If you follow your path EAST you can obtain the TM25 Thunder. Now head SOUTH, where you will see a pile of old oil drums.  Return NORTH, back to your path and head EAST again. When you reach the corridor's end, follow the easterly wall NORTH. Continue WEST and then NORTH on your path to Zapdos. When the passageway ends, head SOUTH one room and then WEST. Head NORTH one room and then WEST again and you will find yourself at the top-left corner of the Power Plant, where Zapdos is. Enter the dark room that is SOUTH. Save your game here before you encounter Zapdos, just incase you K.O him etc. Approach him and battle! He will be Level 50. He may take 40 Ultra Balls to capture. After catching him, there will be a shortcut to the left leading out of the Power Plant.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Articuno - Location - Seafoam Islands

To get to the Seafoam Islands. Fly to Fuchsia City. Make sure your team of Pokémon are ICE Resistant, as Articuno will give you chills down your spine, literally. Head South from Fuchsia. Surf at the shoreline and continue South. After arriving at Route 20, turn west. Continue west where you will land on a patch of sand/land. Travel to the west side of it, where you will see a cave and enter it.
From the entrance, head east. Stand behind the boulder and use your HM Strength to push it aside and direct it down the hole. Go back to the ladder (North of the Entrance). Do not go down the ladder yet. Passby it and head east. When you go down the steps you will see another boulder, hole and ladder. Go around them, South and then North for a bit and then west, and then go down the ladder. After going down the ladder, go south for a bit, and then follow the path. Go up the set of steps to the North, and then east until you run into an item containing a revive. Continue west and then north, avoiding the ladder for now. Then go east, then south, and push the boulder down the nearby hole. Return North, and follow the path west and south. Head down the ladder you passed earlier. Go east and down the steps south. Go up the lader, taking the nearby item ball for a wasterstone. Return down the ladder, then travel all the way east. Head down the ladder. You will notice several boulders and holes. This is the correct path. Travel East, south, east, south and then down the steps to the west. You will now encounter a challenge. You will need to push at least two boulders into the holes provided.

Push Boulder 4 down the hole bellow it. Push Boulder 3 all the way against the West wall. Push boulder 1 up against the North wall. Push Boulder 2 down ONCE. Go around the right side of the boulder and push it towards the hole, THREE times. Then walk around to the North side of the boulder and push it down once into the hole. Follow the boulder down the hole. Go northeast and land on the steps in front of you. Travel northeast until you find a sign and a ladder. Go up the ladder, and then up another ladder. Go down the steps to find another boulder. Push this one down the hole to the West, go back north, and down the ladder, and then back down the next ladder. Return southeast to go back to where you landed in the water. Use SURF to get on the water, and SURF west a bit. Save your game here, and then head north to discover an island with Articuno on it.

Articuno - Location - Mt. Ember

If you DECLINED Bill's offer, then you must defeat the Elite Four and then follow these instructions:
Head East from the Pokémon Center in One Island. Then travel norther along the sea to arrive at Kindle Road. Follow this path north past a sign and three patches of grass. Enter the Ember Spa. Go north in the Spa., then east, then North. Walk west and talk to the old man that's perched against a wall. He will hand you HM Rock Smash. Walk to the center of the water to be fully healed. Teach one of your Pokémon Rock Smash. Exit the Spa and travel north to the water. Follow the water until you reach the ground level of Mt. Ember.

Head into the Mountain. You will have to talk to the Team Rocket grunts east. This will allow you to complete your second island quest later on. Return to the entrance and move the boulders. Continue North and then around to the east, and then finally south. Break the boulders with Rock Smash. Walk up the steps that they were once blocking and then turn left and travel west and then north. Walk around to the cave entrance that a trainer you just battled was guarding. Continue North into the next room, and then north-east and up the stairs to the top. And then east and south into the third room. Exit through the doorway south. Go west and up the steps. Continue North and up the narrow steps where you will have yet another Puzzle.

Move the boulders out of your way to see Moltres waiting for you!

Black Bot : Don't you need distribution items to get those three, and that they are not available on an emulator that cannot connect to Nintendo wireless connections during the time of distribution?
