I have to say digimon. I think the games are preety nice. I am also a fan of digimon since I am a kid. But I still don't get how can people say that Digimon is a rip off. They are totally different. The only same thing in them is that they have monsters in it.
So as I said Digimon, ofcourse Pokemon is great too. But I think it gone qiuet wacko for today while Digimon somewhat kept his style.

If I said "Do you know the episode where Team Rocket try and catch Pikachu for the whole episode but they fail and get sent flying" you wouldnt really be able to tell which one I'm talking about.
Sure, there are a few episodes that they do other stuff in, but those are fewer in number.
At least in Digimon different things happen.

Agreed with DarkHyren, Digimon has a plot, while Pokemon its just "Ash and the gang help someone out, while Team Rocket wears some s***ty disguise. With the games, I havent played any of the Digimon games and I like the older Pokemon games a lot.

As said earlier, Pokemon doesnt have much of a real storyline, except a random 10 year old boy abandoning his parents, befriending a rat and wild animals, then make them fight others, which is clearly animal abuse. He travels across several different regions of a country, quite possibly a fictional Japan. The games though - In that case I preferred Pokemon. Except Digimon World 3. Beat every Pokemon game in history.

I'm going to vote for pokemon, my reason being that I like the games more. To me the T.V. show is a huge factor, but the game is just more important to me. the Digimon ames were good, but they never really caught on. The pokemon games on the other hand were a lot better. Even though in every one you do go an kind of an eight badge adventure, but the adventure does differ from game to game.
I'm going to vote for pokemon, my reason being that I like the games more. Now I do like both, and I have games of both worlds.

and while I appreciate Digimon for its more mature themes and overall lesser... "kiddyness", Pokemon will continue to be my #1.

But really, if there was a game that could combine the awesome elements of both, that'd be a win in my book.
