Rules

1.  Read the below paragraphs so that you are aware of the intended impact.
2.  Be RESPECTFUL.  Disrespect, flaming, or insults of any kind will NOT be tolerated and will immediately disqualified.
3.  Normal vizzed rules apply.  Keep stuff family friendly.
4.  Put thought into your submission.
5.  Post all submissions here in this thread.  Please ensure that your drawing does not stretch the page. (Please) Don't delete the image from your computer until after the contest, because I might need you to send me an electronic copy so that I can print out something of higher quality.
6.  This contest is for ANY armed forces, but please remember that your work will be presented to American armed forces.  Be tactful and keep this in mind.  If you want to draw something containing soldiers or thanking soldiers from your own country, I welcome you to.  Just make sure those soldiers aren't, for example, killing American soldiers or something like that.  Also, this is meant to be something happy.  Please refrain from gore, blood, and pain.... unless the significance is important to your token of appreciation.

Some of the easiest ways to show appreciation to a group of people, is to spend some time in their shoes or helping their cause.  If it was feasible, I'd ask each and every one of you to help out your local armed forces through donations or volunteering your services.  However, that's just not likely to happen for most vizzed users, so I wanted to create a contest in which everyone could participate.

What we want.. is art.  It's that plain and simple.  You can draw something on paper and scan it in for submission, you can draw something in Paint, or create some original graphic through a program of your choice.  The subject of the art, however, MUST be appreciation for armed forces.  However you choose to depict that appreciation is up to you, but I want you to put your BEST EFFORTS forward.  Why?

Well, once the contest is over, I'm going to print out the drawings, and I'm going to bring them to an army base my sister-in-law works at, with a letter of appreciation.  If you want to include your own letters, go ahead!  I just think this would be a really nice gesture, and I don't want to bring the soldiers some half-baked drawing you created just for the sake of winning Viz.

Please participate, and please put your best foot forward!

Deadline: July 5, 2013
Prizes: 1st Place - 5,000 viz
2nd Place - 3,000 viz
Honorable Mention - 1,000 viz

Singelli : You know... We do have an Earn Viz sub forum... Please start assinging your stuff to sub-forums, Singelli. And good idea. Hopefully, this gets some attention. I assume you are rewarding the viz?

And Singelli... would you be able to make a 2nd copy for me? I will be out of the Army by then, but I can ask my father to present it to his company...

thing1 :   Yes, I take care of Viz payouts for all my contests.  Also, if you have an adjustment to make or suggest, I've already given you permission to edit my threads more to your liking.  Or you could just pm me personal preferences.  I'd prefer the posts here to contain submissions.

As for making you a second copy, I can if you'd like.  It'd probably be easier to do yourself though, instead of me mailing it to you and spending money.    Not to mention it'd be quicker for you.

If you really want me to, just let me know via pm, so that other posts here can deal strictly with submissions of appreciation.  Thanks!

Does anybody want to provide anything at all for our armed forces?  I mean, this would be a super easy way to not only do a good deed, but also earn Viz...

I can throw in a participation prize if it's needed.
