Hello! Here is my review of another great classic arcade game: Mappy. In

this game, you are a mouse cop who has to collect items and avoid

running into the pink cats and their boss.

Graphics: 9

The

graphics are very detailed and very well designed. They aren't too bad,

especially for a game that was released in the 1980's. The items that

Mappy has to collect are the most detailed. You can actually tell what a

couple of those items are in real life. For example, one of the items

looks just like a computer. The creators of this game also did a great

job designing Mappy, the main character you play as. You can easily tell

that he is a mouse.

Sound: 9

The sound is also very

impressive for an '80s game. The background music is very catchy and it

will probably be hard to get out of your head once you hear it. The

sound effects are some of the best I've heard in an '80s game,

especially the sound that plays when you open a flashing door and the

trampoline bouncing sound. The "level complete" fanfare is amazing and

it's my favorite sound out of all the soundtrack.

Addictiveness: 8

This

game can be very addicting when you start getting good at it. I've

always loved blasting those pink cats with that powerful wave that comes

out of the flashing door when you open it and knocking them out for a

second when I open a door and they're right next to me. Getting on the

high score list can be tough for beginners, but once you get good at the

game, you might not be able to stop playing until you've filled the

high score table!

Story: BLANK

There is no story. Before

the first level starts, the screen may say, "Now on to the story" but

there is no real storyline to this game. The only real point to playing

this game is for fun and high scores.

Depth: 8

This game

has a lot to offer. I don't even know how many levels there are. The

game might be endless but I will never know unless I use cheats! All

this game offers is a preset high score to beat and lots of fun, but

that really is a lot for huge gamers.

Difficulty: 8

This game may seem easy at first, but it's really hard overall. If you don't finish a level fast enough, the game will tell you to hurry and it will send more cats out to get you and every cat will be about 2x faster!

Overall: 9

This is a really awesome game. You should try it if you want a challenge or you just need something new to play when you're bored. I hope you liked this review! Be sure to give me feedback and tell me if I need to improve this review a bit!

PacmanandMariofan : This wasn't a bad review dude. I like the detail you used, but still though. You could have used A LOT more detail than this. Seems hard, but it was undeniable for me to fully like this game. Either than that this review had great depth, and was fully equipped to amount of potential, so great work dude. I won't lie to you though. I do believe that you could have done better than that. Well nice decent well written reviews are commonly nice to see such as this one. I liked it, but just go for a little more detail. Keep it up .

I agreed with you from the first sentence on, this is a great classic arcade game to play and it is so much fun as well. I agree with your point on the graphics, the picture is really detailed and you can make out what the items would actually look like in real life and it is really excellent for a game released in the 1980s in the beginning of the video game area. I think this game gets a little difficult later on and they get faster like the ghosts in pac man. Anyways you went into great detail with your review and you had lots of great things to say about the game. You did a really good job with going into specifics and breaking the review down and going over each part of it. It is a good length, maybe a tad bit more detail but nevertheless a really great job. Keep it up and keep making more reviews!
