Often cited as the most important meal, breakfast allows you a little more room for calories as it is the meal that gets your day going. At least, that's what I'd assume. I'm putting this up to ask whether or not you should have more, equal or less calories for a breakfast meal than lunch or dinner. I've always had a large breakfast and somewhat small lunches and dinners, so I'm wondering if that's a good way to go or if I should adjust that a bit. Sources to any information would be appreciated!

I agree it gives you an extra start of a day so it is best to have it if you don't your pretty much poofed out early.

I think it is good to have a decent sized and proper breakfast. I have bigger breakfasts on weekends because I am off from school and my parents are home and we have the time to make a bigger breakfast and it is really good and is a great way to start off the day. Breakfast on the weekends for me is like pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage or toast or something like that and it is delicious. Even on school days I would always try to eat something for breakfast even if it was like a pop tart or something small because it keeps your brain going throughout the school day and it is very important to have a good first meal during the day. A good breakfast can improve school performance and it is important to have one everyday.

It really depends on what you're eating when you have your breakfast. If you eat more healthy foods, then you can have a good size meal and have the energy for the rest of the day to burn off the calories you ate.

I have a bit of chub on my stomach area but I run 4ish miles every day so that should be gone soon. My BMI has always been in the normal (healthy) weight section, though.
Also, I don't plan very well, so sometimes I do big lunches or dinners instead. So I'm not the best to ask about it, heh.

I've never been a breakfast kind of guy.  Though my father always wants me to eat breakfast in the morning; even at the age of 29 my father always has a fit whenever I eat a bowl of dry cereal that's right dry cereal no milk. I just don't like milk in my cereal. But I did have breakfast when I was still in the public school system.

I've heard that saying quite a few times, but I don't really agree, because somehow I'm not always that hungry in the mornings for some reason. :/ I say lunch is the most important meal of the day because it keeps you full until dinner, and if you didn't eat breakfast it stops your hunger.
