1. Burnout - there are basically 2 kinds of people who say that certain games suck. The first kind are those who are playing the same kinds of games over and over, finding themselves tired of their games and call them "suckish" as time goes by.

ie. " Man all RPG's suck, all you do is grind and grind and grind and level up "

The second kind simply dislike the game as it doesn't appeal to them.

ie. " Sim Date? C'mon man stop chasing for digital people; go out there and meet someone real! "

2. The rude ones. They are all over the place. They won't bother thinking about your feelings and say bad things about the games you like. It's better to just let them do their business and keep on playing what you want.

3. I enjoy playing what I like, but I try different games once in awhile; there's no guaranty that I'll like those games though."Nope, that's not like my stuff... so it's got to suck." You can't stop me from thinking like that as I have a solid understanding of what I want. Most of the time it doesn't require me to play the games first before judging them. Examples of games that I dislike are bejeweled and candy crush. But when I say they suck, what I mean is that they suck FOR ME. They're just not for my taste, and I definitely won't enjoy them. And I don't tell to everyone around that a game sucks. It's their choice if they'll like it or not (unless they want to hear my opinion).

I remember some comedian saying 10 minutes. thats how long it takes for a great new innovation to become a fundamental human right.
like facebook, people thought it was great. and if its ever down people go bat sh** crazy.
same with games, they pretty much become snobs.
I remember I downloaded silent hill on the ps3, a ps1 game. I found so much to attack but I still enjoyed it. some people cant look past that though.
their loss at the end of the day

thenumberone : Ahh, finally someone who gets it. It's like "Yeah, you know... I'm not fond of this game, but what the heck... let's play it anyways, I'm sure I'll beat you." Like, you know you really dislike the game... but you're all cool about it, and just playing is good enough for you.

Juliet : Wow, at the beginning I really loved your post... until the very last part when even your opinion began to vary a tad bit to much. Like what I mean is, instead of saying the game sucked or isn't worth your time... or some other derogatory remark, I would just say "Is it alright if we play something else, I'm just not feeling _______________ today". You know, like... I want to be respectful of the other person, but at the same time I want them to know that I'm not really interested in playing that game. But also, I will only do that once... and I will not continuously make up some reason why I don't want to play the games they have chosen... I mean, the first two games... I'd be like "Yeah, how about something different if you don't mind?" then the 3rd game I'd be like "Yeah sure, let's go at it... I don't think I'll win, but I will do my best to beat you at your own game." You understand? In my perspective, I want people to know that when it comes to gaming... even if the game is a bit "strange" or "boring" to me... I will still play it, not because I don't want to hurt someone elses feelings... but because it's better than being a snobbish and demanding person.

Eniitan : Thank you for your opinion, it had both the ups and the downs of what I was saying. It was honest and respectable, much kudos.

Thank you to anyone who has replied or will replied, it's good to know that this community also has a few people whom are a bit "snobbish" and a few who are understanding that it's better than playing nothing at all.

SacraRain : Ah... you mean multiplayer games! Sorry to have misunderstood your post... I thought you're just talking about people who don't like what others do alone. If that's the case, people usually ask me to play games with them, often than not, I say yes to them in spite of not liking the game much. I'm willing to play with them and see them happy. Usually there are games that aren't much enjoyable when played alone, but with a friend or relative it gets fun. And nope, I don't say their games suck when it's obvious to me that they're really enjoying it; instead I give it a try play with the person who introduced me the game.

SacraRain :
That is a trend I have noticed allot of.
It is one of the reasons I do not bother with On-line Console game matches. (Most of the time.)
If you grace a few "Lets Play" videos on youtube you will hear all kinds of weird stuff coming out of the kids mouths these days.

I honestly think allot of it has allot to do with people not interacting and not playing games in the living room anymore. ("Use you inside voices kids" =Joke.)

Many modern gamers have little concept of how much progress it took to get the modern hits they enjoy.
If I were to mention a Playstation one game or even an X-Box first generation game they all normally look at me with blank stares.
If I use the terms "Neo-Geo" or "Turbo Graphix 16"? Again the same result.

The handheld consoles have done a little good to curb this trend but they keep coming out with a new hand held system every two years. (Very hard to develop a sizeable library within a two year period.)

The best way I have been able to explain things to the modern gamers is to make food references.
Even still I get tired of informing people and find myself wishing they would shut-up and play.
Take some of the good games that get poor reviews these days for example.
I did.
I see no reason why "Mercenaries 2" should score a 2 out of 5. (Granted. I got my copy for five dollars. But Still.)
Even with The "Soul Calibur" fans. They all tend to talk about part 5 and none of the previous ones. And I felt like Five was the worst one of the bunch. (Graphics are not everything to me. Sue me.)
So, I tend to keep most of my gaming experiences off-line.
With the classic games? (N.E.S., Genisis, S.N.E.S., etc, etc, etc.)
I'll go on-line, rock out and post a tip or two.
Many of the modern Gamers have problems getting past level 3 on many occasions.
So, I'll give a helping hand here or there with a picture or a quick strategy session in a review.
Helping people develop a love or at least a respect for the classic games is difficult but I am certain if enough information is there?
Then we might see an evolution in the modern players.
Only time will tell.
Good Question.
Thanks.

Good Luck To All.
I'm done. Stick a fork in me.
Peace.
