The hoenn region is by far my favourite region in the Pokémon series and emerald is the best of the 3 games. If you are a Pokémon fan then you will definitely remember this region and the great starters 

STORY-you don't really ever expect much story from Pokémon game you are a 10 year old trainer that starts your journey to catch every Pokémon and there is a certain team to take over the world and in this game it is team magma and team aqua they are different villain's that try to awaken the 2 legendary poke groudon for team magma and kyogre for team aqua

GRAPHICS- the graphics are very good for the Pokémon series and this was the second Pokémon game that Pokémon would move upon coming out the poke ball, giving Pokémon movement nowadays is simple but when emerald was released it was rare to see a moving Pokémon in the games

SOUND- I have always loved the battle music and gym music in the series and the cries for every single Pokémon although some are bad most of the sounds coming from the Pokémon are pretty cool

ADDICTIVENESS-Pokémon games are addictive I would say the most addictive in the entire RPG genre and picking the perfect team for you will take about an hour of game play

DEPTH-the after game is absolutely brilliant after beating the elite 4 (with the quest of catching every Pokémon) you still have a lot of areas to explore and tones of new items to find and collect

DIFFICULTY-this games difficulty depends on what Pokémon your team are but I still always have a little trouble trying to beat this game you can train your Pokémon to be prepared to fight the leaders or just go in there and hope for the best

after all that I give this game a 9.5 this is a brilliant game and I would really recommend it to someone who hasn't played it before
