A Hack To Remember!(Miss me?) This hacked version of Pokémon Sapphire really IS a hack to remember! Follows the same story line as Sapphire (Which is basically all the other Pokémon games...) Except, it changes some graphics and allows you to catch Pokémon in the beginning you don't catch till later on. Also, the beginning has a helpful store that allows you to buy Master Balls for free!(You should have seen me, I kept going to 99 and buying them!) Now, to the official review by yours truly, S.S!( Slowness of introduction, haha.) We will follow the ranks of Least to Greatest! Lettttssss... GO!
The Story... Of Pokémon Games: You know how it is, same old story of the Pokémon Franchise. But, I like this one better. Having two rivals throughout the game is a nice touch, and always makes you want to train your Pokémon more. Plus, May is in this series of Pokémon games. MAY. Personally, May is one of my favorite Pokémon characters. She gives me a Nostalgia Feeling- Due to her being one of the first characters of Pokémon I liked in the Cartoon. So I must give story a solid seven!
Difficulty? Pft, throw it at me!.. WAIT, NOT LITERALLY!: That's what I said when I went to the E4. The Difficulty is toned down a bit, due to the master balls and the fact you get a legendary Physic Pokémon as a Starter.(More into that with Depth.) But, when you get to the E4, I hope you trained other Pokémon than the Starter you got.(Sadly, that is my fault... I hate you sometimes Pokémon, I really do.) Cause if you don't, be prepared to get yourself wiped across the mat, and be used as a mop to clean up your tears. Their Pokémon are BRUTAL. I got instant-killed so much, it was funny! So Difficulty, have a nice seven!
Sound, Music To Thy Ears: As all Pokémon music and sounds, it is okay. Still wanting the Pokémon saying their names, now wanting the trainer to say the moves.. AND I WANT THAT SOUNDTRACK! WHERE IS MY SOUNDTRACK? The Beeps annoy me sometimes, and I bet a few others are annoyed by it as well. Some might like them though, just for the Nostalgia Feeling they give off. And, Pokémon music is just plain addictive, so addictive it drills itself into your head! So Sound, how about a eight?
Graphics are what makes the Internet go ROUND: I must admit, the Graphics astonished me! Sometimes I see hacks that mess up the Graphics so bad, you can't tell that it's a hack of the game you were looking for! I was scared that I might get jumped at the beginning by Pokémon.(Some towns have tall grass with them, a place has a bridge area. If it's supposed to be like that, I am sorry. I only played this hacked version of Sapphire, not the actual one.. I might play the actual one though, seeing this hack was great.) Still disappointed that there are no animations for the Pokémon. But still, Graphics were amazing for a hack. So Graphics, I hand you a nine!
This is a lot of Depth!: There really is a lot of Depth. More than I would've ever expected from a hack, let alone a Pokémon one. This game threw out the Starters your usually given- Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip- and replaces them with some pretty awesome Physic type Legendaries- Which are Mewtwo, Lugia, and Dexoys.(I consider them Legendary.) Also, I like the fact it lets you buy some things you usually don't get till later(Just cause I am lazy) And some TM's that may prove to be useful later. I was surprised by how much more you could do in this Hack, and I had a smile on my face the whole time I played. Up to the E4.(They made me scream in frustration, so at least that hasn't changed about it!) So Depth, I praise thee with a ten!(I never thought I'd give a ten to a Pokémon game!)
Lastly, we get on to the Addictiveness!: You know, I wonder what Nintendo does to make their games so addictive. Sure, they are repetitive. I think it contributes to the Addictiveness, because usually- for me, at least- knowing some-what what to expect makes the game more addictive. Plus, it's hard not to fall for those adorable(And strong as crud) Pokémon! So, as usual for me and Pokémon, Addictiveness is a ten!
Which gives us the ASTOUNDING number of NINE.FIVE! Wow!
Wow, is right! This Pokémon Hack holds enough to make you want to play it all over again, despite the fact that E4 is annoying! I can't believe how well they did with this Hack, Cause I usually hate Hacks of any kind! Just goes to show you, not ALL Hacks are dreadful! I enjoyed this Hack more than I enjoyed a few other games!
Well, off I go guys! I hope you guys give this Pokémon Hack a try and love it like I did! ~S.S Signing off! A Hack To Remember!(Miss me?)
