Pretty much as the thread title says. I have not received any notifications for my private messages throughout the month of April, and I did not receive any for the PMs I was sent today either. Am I the only one getting this problem?

Nah, this error has been here for a while, and it's been discussed.  For the most part, it seems that deleting a pm that isn't read.... instigates the problem.  Nobody seems sure what the actual cause is, though tRIUNE has some thoughts.  If you clear out your inbox a little, it might help.  It seems like once I pass a certain 'spot' in pm's, my notifications no longer work properly.

I don't know, Aura. Maybe you are not receiving any PM's? Or are you?

Weird thing is I had my inbox earlier today showing I had unread messages, now I have it as showing 0, but I still have all those unread in my inbox. I didn't delete any messages, so that has nothing to do with it.

It happens for me periodically when someone sends me a new message; when it goes to 0, I'll check and I have a new unread message that wasn't there. It's something on the senders end that's causing it.

tRIUNE :  tRIUNE, I really don't think that's the case.  You were having this issue for awhile, remember? I don't think it's on a day by day basis, but something that is triggered by an event and then continues to happen.  Remember how we discussed that 'magical spot'?  For some reason, my notifications work perfectly well as long as I have 12 or less messages.  (I don't know that it's 12 for me personally, but giving an example.)  However, once I exceed that limit, that's when my notifications get glitchy.

tRIUNE : Weird. On the senders end? Do you know who? Suspicions? Now that I know that, I can start experimenting and stuff.

I've been having this problem since, oh, probably February or so? I've just had to get used to it.

Singelli : I've tested my theory, I'm not sure what the sender is doing to cause it, but I'll reply to the newest PM (which I just did a few minutes ago) and when that person replies back, the glitch is fixed. Also, at this time the original PM is automatically marked as unread (even though I replied to it).

tRIUNE : Yeah I know, that's what's so glitchy about the system.  Sometimes the notifications will work, and sometimes they won't.  That starts happening after your inbox exceeds that magical spot..
