The general forums seemed like a most appropriate place to post covert threads of absolutely no value that can gain me profile experience (I want to create a layout).
However, it's all about words per post, right? On a general level, I personally love that aspect. More incentive for a person to write more in-depth, cut back on spam, and be rewarded. 
Every now and again, I have to remind myself how therapeutic writing is, and how I tend to take it for granted. Words simply flow from my mind to my fingertips, to the keyboard, then low and behold, onto the glowing screen in front of me. 
It's a lot like productive monotony, stillness in the moment yet actively engaging in the present.  By the way, here's a fun fact. The part of the brain that you are exercising when you text, write, speak, and yes even type, is called the Broca's area - named after the French surgeon Paul Broca who discovered it.
Okay, I'm peaking at 200 words here, so I may as well wrap er' up. 

The_Greater_Zion : I think this is a pretty good idea for a thread, actually! Sometimes it's just to get things off your chest, and more often than not, most of the threads are directed at a specific topic, not a more general feel of just unwinding or ranting. Kudos to you! I actually hope more people start doing this some.

I'm gonna give you a few things that you can do to help you out some. For starters, I would play a couple of the games here and write a review on one. If you detail it well enough, you can get some serious Viz and some experience so you're helped out some. Since you do have good grammar and can write, I would also peruse the Game Reviews board and read some of them. I do that from time to time, as you get extra Viz per post and you can help people better their reviews by offering feedback. I've seen a few people get better in their reviews because it seems like they're taking the feedback given to them, and it's really making for more enjoyable, thought-provoking reads. Definitely something to consider!

That's interesting about the Broca's area of your brain. I never knew that, but I also never thought to ask, I guess. Perhaps I was spending too much time using that area of my brain, and the thought never occurred to me to wonder what part of my brain I was using while typing something up. Very interesting!

And guess what, man? I'm over 250 words and I'm not done yet.

Is your name The_Greater_Zion for a reason? Because I like the name, and I think it'd be cool if you were Israeli or something... Lol!

At any rate, welcome to the board! I hope you can find enough stuff to post in so you can make that layout you want. I think you'll find there's a lot more to do than that, too. Thanks for the new thread; it helps to just unwind sometimes. Good luck to you!

Whew, such a warm reply. I'll tell ya, half of me expected to be told off for posting in the wrong section. Heh. Well, thanks for the rather lengthy reply! I know, I couldn't really think of a specific topic, so just decided to let the ol' writing bug take hold and see where it would steer me.

Haha, yeah, a fun fact. Honestly, I never knew about the Broca's area until I google'd it a few minutes back. That's the great thing about the internet, I tell ya, infinite resources and the tip of your fingers.

The_Greater_Zion : I just read your review, and I'm extremely impressed with that! I didn't expect to see that you've had a membership here longer than I have! You must more or less focus on the games here, which isn't a problem at all, but I think we'd love to see you contribute here more often.
