May god curse me but when my uncle went as first man in my family after the big war did he complain about his relatives getting wounded or killed, he did not. He became an officer and did he whine like a dog in heat? He did not. Like those before him he did his duty and he did it well. Not because he chose to. Not because he wished to. He did it. Without whining and begging for mercy or sympathy. He did it because he was and still is an soldier. Like my father. And my father before him. And his father and his uncle, who got a Russian bullet in the head.

And may god curse me even twice  but I came to my post first time in the back of a cop car but I became a soldier too. Did I whine? Did I whimper? No I did not. I became a soldier and a soldier should you be also. I was an insubordinate b-tard but I managed and I listened to how to talk the talk and walk the walk and I learned that a soldier will give his life, it his duty and a privilege.

But I also learned that there is no sweet talking about what it is actually like when the push comes to show. You fight, you die and the women may weep (or men in some cases) but if you are a soldier, you will get the bullet in your head as a thank you at best. That is why you are there for!

This thread here is for all of you pansies who wish to talk without "offending" in the other threads here. This is where you guys can talk about the actual army you have been in, or if you want to join.

So no foul words, and no flaming  You can share stories for example of your platoon, but remember, we all die but only the dead truly live on.

Speak about the officers you hate, or if you are one, about the moronic privates... How you see army life, your self in it but show and expect no mercy

And no, it does not have to be the army of the united states, I did not serve there myself and neither does it matter what rank you have in which troop.
