The FBI has released pictures and videos of two men they feel are suspects in the bombing. In particular, one of the men set a backpack down right next to a restaurant where one of the bombs went off. These guys both appear to be foreign, and they are calling for the American public to help if they can. The interesting thing about it is that these two guys appear to be foreign, possibly Middle Eastern, and it's likely they used a toy battery to set off the pressure cookers. This is an improvised IED that is consistent with tactics used by terrorists outside of the United States. They haven't said for sure, but after having seen the pictures several times, I'm pretty sure that these guys were foreign. That being said, they aren't necessarily the ones who did it, but it looks like they were the perpetrators.

I also want to keep your attention towards Boston, as there is a situation at MIT in which gun shots were fired. As of now, it seems to be a robbery suspect that fled the scene, took a cop's gun and shot him with it. From reports, he's in a computer lab on campus. Keep in mind that this is one of the most prominent colleges in the world, so it's interesting to watch this develop, especially considering how close to the location of the bombing this happened.

supercool22 : Yeah. I kinda think there were more, considering that there are reports that a couple of bombs were found and diffused. Considering there were two bombs within ten seconds of each other, I don't see how it could have only been one person. This type of act was coordinated and planned in such a way that indicated it was a team, and now that they have these two guys' faces plastered all over the media, I think it's a matter of time before they're caught. If not, then they have probably already fled the country considering it took so long to get these photos out.

So, checked the news just a few minutes ago.

Suspect 1 is Dead. If I heard correctly, he was in a shoot-out with the police in the MIT area (Yes, that was him).

Suspect 2 is still on the run, however.

According to CNN, Boston is now in lockdown until Suspect 2 is caught- Dead or alive.

And just throwing this out there, they do NOT look foreign in the pictures recently released, so there's a 99% chance it was domestic terrorism.
While it's still bad, however, I do find some relief, since that means there won't be much alienating of other people because of this, Nya~.

MegaRevolution1 : You're actually inaccurate. Suspect 2's nose is very distinct. He looked Arab to me, but it turns out that they are actually Russian. Particularly, Chechen. They also think he could be Turkish, but I'm not sure how possible that is.

Do you know anything about Chechen terrorists?

Chechnya is a primarily Muslim subset of the mainland Russia, and some of the people are very pissed off with Russia. Many of them have been fighting a war with Russia, and they are extremely brutal. Do you remember a few years back when hundreds of school children were held hostage and then murdered? This was perpetrated by Chechens. Muslim extremists. Jihadis.

Does this name look domestic? Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev. That's the guy who's still on the run. I most certainly do not think that is 99% domestic. The fact that the news media seemed to scoff at the idea that it was an Islamic terror attack (with some blaming extreme right-wing radicals, which you have to tell me how many terrorist attacks happen from extreme right-wingers in this country) shows a gross negligence to the fact that our country has been declared WAR on by jihadists.

Don't allow yourself to be deceived. Pay attention to what's going on. The media has an agenda, and they will set the agenda because they control the television. Be thorough. In my case, I looked a lot of places to find this news out. I talked to my father, a man who's come toe-to-toe with people like this as a man in the military. I talked to my best friend, a marine, and asked him about what he felt of the tactics used in the bombing. I talk to people who know about these types of people and who have studied these tactics because I do not trust the media at all.

pray75 : I thank you for the very condescending reply, but at the same time, I don't.

Might I remind you that any source can be considered "media"? That includes anywhere on the internet, TV, newspaper, etc. Unless you are actually the one providing the source, and it isn't really secondhand info, it is media. Assuming you aren't one of the people providing information, I'll take a stab and say that you too are getting your info via the media.

Just because the suspect has a foreign name, it doesn't mean they are actually foreign. I can name many people I've met with foreign names who were born in the US. The family could be very influenced with Russian ancestry, causing the foreign sounding name. That does not, however, mean it is not domestic.

In fact, he was reported to have been a student at the Mass University. And yes, I'm aware of different foreign exchange student programs, but keep in mind that there is actually a very slim chance for that, Nya~.

You are aware that the most prominent terrorist group over in the Middle East said, and this is a rough quote from memory, "Where there is Americans, we will unleash terror, but these recent acts were not by us". Yes, I know this group isn't the only terrorist group around, but there's still the fact they deny association with the Boston Bombers. Just because we were declared 'War' on by 'Jihadists' (Keep in mind that this is a proudful term in their region, but I forget the correct term to call them by, so take this info with a grain of sand), it doesn't mean that EVERY SINGLE TERRORIST EVER must be Islamic/Muslim in nature.

Even if they were, what should it matter, really? Take a look through history and you'll see every religious group held their fair share of genocide, murder, etc. Want an example that'll hit home for you? Crusades. I'm sure you know enough of that, though, Nya~.

Yes, I too look everywhere to discover the real information. I too have studied everything you may have already and such. Your point?

With all of the New Info. I hope the last Remaining Assailant can be captured and questioned.
Getting out of a "firefight" stateside is an interesting trick to pull off. Particularly when so many cops are after them.

The More Info the Professionals have on the matter?
The Better.

Closure would be nice if can happen before the days end.

Good Luck To All.
Peace.

P.S. Stay Safe.

MegaRevolution1 : I apologize for being condescending. I got a little passionate, and that has a lot to do with discussions that I have had prior to. It wasn't my intention to demean you, and I really do apologize for that.

I can already tell that we're going to have to agree to disagree, but I want to offer a few points:

First off, in respect to the media, I understand that all of that is the media. There is a theory in political science called "agenda setting," which states that the media doesn't tell you what to think, but what to think about. Although nowadays, many media outlets are feeding people nonsense, so I look everywhere. I also take what I know in respect to analyzing situations and apply it to what's being reported.

Let's discuss what has been reported.

They were born from Chechnya. This has been confirmed by their family, who have a variety of differing opinions on the matter. Some of them think this is a conspiracy, particularly his father (who is still in Chechnya) and his aunt, while his uncle (living in America) wants him dead. Supposedly, they've been in America since 2003. I'll address that later, but it's important to note. Dzhokhar recently got citizenship on September 11, 2012. Interesting coincidence. And yes, he was a student at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. Apparently that didn't stop him from pulling off this attack.

Furthermore, both his sister and his uncle have reported that the younger one had gotten "more into Islam." This wouldn't strike me as important, as many people grow in their faith as they grow older, but the timing of that and the attack is also very interesting. It really does matter, too, because Islamic extremists are the ones threatening America, and they're the ones who are attacking America.

We know they used a battery from a remote control car to set off the pressure cookers that killed 3 and maimed so many more. This is consistent with tactics taught by foreign terrorist organizations, meaning that it is likely they were trained. Not to mention, they used BBs and ball bearings to inflict massive damage to people, not just to kill but to maim. That is sheer evil, and that is on purpose. And the fact that they coordinated the attacks so that people running away from the finish line would run into the second bomb blast, I think it is a no brainer that they were trained.

I also know that Tamerlan's youtube page has a few playlists, one involving a famous Chechen singer, a few that are religious in nature. There is also a couple of videos that are deleted from Youtube, which are speculated to have been deleted due to the fact that it violated Youtube's anti-hate speech policy. Here is the URL to the account: http://www.youtube.com/user/muazseyfullah/videos?view=0. There is also a report that they've found Tamerlan's Amazon Wish List. Here is the URL: http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/registry.html?ie=UTF8&type=wishlist&id=1PNVMAW2D4CT1. Note the names of the books and the dates they were added. If this is actually his account, there is no doubting that he's been a bad apple for a long time.

Now, the region of Chechnya in Russia is known to harbor many terrorists, and some of these people have trained in Afghanistan and Pakistan. They apparently even have a Chechen in Guantanamo Bay. As I stated before, these terrorists are known for some of the horrible things they've done to innocent people and children in Russia, not to mention brutal beheadings of Russian soldiers. These are not a people who play around, and they certainly aren't advocates for peace. These terrorists are blood thirsty killers, and they don't care if they kill women or children, or even themselves or their own. Keep in mind that they probably have several different terrorist entities, just as there is Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood, Jemaah Islamya, and the PLO - just to name a few. Simply because one terrorist organization rejects to claim the attack doesn't mean that another one didn't do it.

I do want to say that I understand that every terrorist isn't Islamic or Muslim, but it is estimated that 10% of the world's Muslim population are Islamic extremists, and many of those those people belong to organizations that have declared war on America and its allies. It does matter, because this number is huge. Well over 100,000,000. And even if the estimates are wrong by say, 5%, this total is still large. How many people can you say are in the Aryan Brotherhood? The KKK? Heck, all of the gangs in the Americas combined? And these people haven't declared war on us. Typically they have an interest in mind. The American sect of the Aryan Brotherhood is starting to become more like a gang in a lot of ways, dabbling into drugs and whatnot. The KKK just protests and complains. But the Islamic extremists? They want to destroy America. This is one of their goals. And they want to cause as much suffering as possible, both to our bodies and to our hearts.

I also want to call to attention the 9-11 bombers. Nobody who knew them thought they were capable of this attack. They assimilated, blended in with our society, pretended like they were part of our country. They pretended like they were Americans. And let me tell you, this is not inconsistent with their tactics, even in war zones. Terrorists in Afghanistan blend in with the citizens so that our soldiers don't know who is who. If that wasn't the case, I do not believe we would have half the deaths we do have over there. I also think that war would have ended quickly. Furthermore, I discussed that I believe they were trained to perform these heinous acts. Assuming I'm right, what implications of their growing up America have for this country? It means there are terror cells in America. People who look like you and me, doing their jobs, getting educations, and at the same time training in the art of deception, terror, and slaughter.

I'm also going to respond to your comment about genocide and the Crusades. Yes, it happened. As did the Spanish Inquisition, and Andrew Jackson's slaughter of Native Americans, and Manifest Destiny, as did the wars between the Calvinists and the Catholics. America has and Christians have done terrible things as well. It's a well-known fact, and it's not one that's lost on me. But that isn't the case today. What happened in the past happened, and as terrible as some of these things were, there's nothing we can do about it. However, the threat of radical Islam is very real, and it's affecting the world today. They're killing our people. They're killing their own people.

I want to reiterate that I do apologize for being rude. I get fired up sometimes, and when I'm not paying attention, I can get a little snippy. I'm sorry.
MegaRevolution1 : I apologize for being condescending. I got a little passionate, and that has a lot to do with discussions that I have had prior to. It wasn't my intention to demean you, and I really do apologize for that.

I'm sorry.

I just want to say my heart goes out to Lu Lingzi, Martin Richard,
Kryste Campbell, those wounded and to the cops and the firefighters who gave their lives there these few past days whose
names I dont know as I write this. Without any hatred, without any
thoughts of revenge. Just with a hint of sadness and compassion to those these people left behind.

Both have been caught, one has been killed. I say, kill the other, he should get it.

I'm extremely excited that he got caught. Like, ridiculously excited. We can interrogate him and get information from him about what he's doing, why he's doing it, and who helped him accomplish this attack. I think it could help us prevent more attacks like this from happening.

It's about time we had some good news.

I honestly think that the way the media coverage handled this story was deplorable. They kept reporting anything and everything before verifying the information, and speculating on things while live on the air just to fill air time... all because they wanted to be "first to break the story."

A story full of holes is not a good story. Yahoo news first reported the identity of the suspects with the sentence, "The suspects are Russians."

What happened to journalistic integrity?

And to the people who are fixating on the fact that they were born elsewhere... that is probably going to be irrelevant, and you are all jumping to conclusions... which is hardly surprising because the media is doing it as well. Do you know their political stance? Then how do you know it was politically motivated (which also, by the way, legally determines if this was terrorism or terrorist-like activity)? This kid, the one they caught, has been living in this country the majority of his life. They came here as refugees from a horrible war.

Yet there are people out there, ignorant of so many facts, that are standing on their soap boxes and saying that we should close our boarders and "inact harsher checks into people coming here"... the kid was NINE when he came here. You mean you want the government to lock up a nine year old in a room and interrogate them before letting him/her into the country? You don't think that would actually make them dislike us from the start? Should we stop allowing war refugees get a second chance by coming here?

You cannot make blanket statements about all immigrants to this country and pass legislation because of one attack. If we did that every time we had one, we would have no freedoms left at all. "Oh, can't do that... terrorist did it once. Can't go there, terrorist came from there so you'll become one, too...." That isn't who we are. That has never been who we are, and to do so is an insult to the Founding Fathers of our nation.

And to judge someone, anyone based on their appearance or religion alone as a terrorist is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. "Oh, he looks Arab, he must be a terrorist!" Really?! REALLY?! Could you BE more racist?! "Oh, they immigrated here, therefore they have to hate America." Nationalism is only a step away from racism when it is taken to that level. Remember that ALL non Native-Americans in this country started out as immigrants. That persecution of immigrants to this country have led to some of the darkest days of our nations history that we are ashamed to talk about.

I am glad that they caught the guy. And if they find him guilty (because this is America and you are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law), I hope they throw the biggest book they possibly can at him. I also want to know why this happened. Unlike so many others, however, I am going to wait for actual facts from reliable sources.

Elara : I too am glad that they caught the guy, however, (AND I KNOW NOW, FOR EVERYONE AND ANYONE READING, THAT I WILL GET A LOT OF HATE FOR THIS, SO READ EVERYTHING, NOT JUST THE REST OF THIS SENTENCE) I think that he should not be found Guilty under the American system, but should instead be exiled, deported, etc (IIRC, it said he moved to the US with his family in 2000 or so).

Why? Simply for the fact they disregarded as many rights as they can so far on the matter. First, they take away his Miranda Rights due to a "Public Safety Exception" (Which I find to be utter garbage, and honestly an excuse for forgetting to read the rights upon arresting him over the joy of arresting him, and everything else the exception enforces). They also, from what I remember, had gone and went door to door searching many houses of many people without any warrant or cause of suspicion, violating the 4th amendment. These are only simple examples on what is quite possibly a very large list, Nya~.

Believe me, I am not giving the guy excuses, I do not tolerate his actions, nor do I enjoy watching news of people dying in tragedies every day. But if you are looking for an American citizen on American soil, then you better follow our rights and enforce them, which they did not do very well in this situation.
