There seems to be a trojan horse on my computer, it keeps making
Internet Explorer windows or something and I don't know how to get rid
of it. When I click "end task"/"end process" nothing happens. How do I
get rid of it? AVG picked something up as a trojan in the directory
"C:UsersmynameAppDataLocalTempxwan… and whenever I try to delete
it I get an access denied error. What can I do to get rid of this?
Here's a screenshot of what it's doing http://25.media.tumblr.com/9dc9d51bc...n8geo1_500.png AVG detected these things in a scan: Generic31.BJLK

Generic32.BBK

Generic32.AMGY

Downloader.Generic13.ADWX

Generic31.BJLK

And also this...

"Trojan horse Generic29.AJGE,
c:$Recycle.BinS-1-5-21-2850899253-4111064983-2134612251-1000$003e0ef972ddab6773fb34a38ba34ae3n";"Infecte
d";"4/11/2013, 7:51:15 PM";"File or
Directory";"C:Windowsexplorer.exe" (NOTE: This is the one I
can't remove due to the "access denied" error) Someone please help
me....this is seriously upsetting me. I have no idea how it even got on
my computer.

This helped me although it does require kind of a sacrifice. What you do is you copy anything you want or need to an external memory stick or something else external. Go onto your computer and create a new user profile. Make sure the new profile is an admin on the computer. Go into the new user profile and delete the old user profile along with everything else that was saved in that user profile. It will delete that virus in the process. This has worked for me and a friend although like I said, it does require a sacrifice.

NordicWarrior : Sounds like you either A. Need to purchase better anti-virus software to allow you to delete this trojan. Sometimes free Anti-Virus does not do the trick.

There is no way for you to manually remove the trojan. The point of a trojan is that it makes your computer/os think that the trojan file is an important windows file.

Although the best way to 100% make sure you have removed the trojan is to re-install windows. This will make sure your hard drive is clear.

You could also google solutions to your specific error messages.

You will need a much better Antivirus.
A good one that still allows you to get rid of viruses would be Avast or Comodo ( can be downloaded for free ).

No, it does not delete Windows with it.  All of the Windows files will be okay.  It is only deleting applications, files, documents, etc.  None of the necessities needed to run the computer.

My friend had a laptop that was over run by viruses, some of them being Trojans. What he did was do a full factory reset of his computer upon start up. It seemed to do the job, all the viruses attacking his computer were gone, but I think he put his important files on a flash drive or USB stick before doing it, just to be safe.
