Margaret thatcher is a woman who polarised the nation but nobody can deny the work she done has helped the UK. She was a woman with an steely resolve in a male dominated world, despite this she retook the falkland islands when she was told it was impossible, battled federalism and communism. I would do a full tribute but I feel it would not be appropriate as I was not alive at the time and my views are soley based on the media but even I know how much she done. This is not a place to complain about her work but it is a place to remember her work and leave tributes

our ally the eu had a huge amount to do with it. plus the emergence of the service industry which her government initially opposed.
all well and good for the south of england, but she brought the north of england and scotland to their knees.
mining, ironworks, shipping, no warning, just axed, and those displaced left to fend forthemselves. the south survived at the cost to the north. never has any 1 person done so much for the separatist movement. last election was the first time conservatives got a single seat north of the border in decades. and it was a single seat they won. yet still they rule our country.
that woman was an utter idiot and an evil individual who cared not for the average man.
I wont say im glad shes dead but I will say I dont care.
sorry but thats the opinion of at least 50% of the uk and I want it on record before people who dont know her come here and get the idea she was a national treasure.

Like Reagan, she seemed to be all words and no action. According to statistics I saw, UK never actually cut spending under her reign. 

However, she did have interesting quotes, reflecting her interest for freedom

Well she brought taxes to scotland for the benefit of the rich.
Thus the song may not be fitting but she deserves it.

The Scottish didn't want it.
But as a government the others mainly England and Wales enforced it upon us.

Atlee's policies are what caused the many problems that brought Thatcher in the first place. However, none of them deserve public funerals as this is a private matter
