Back story: As some of you Mario brothers fans originally may or may not know Mario was a plumber but not exactly he was first known as jump man in the original Donkey Kong after that had gotten through to be a success, The company of Nintendo renamed jump man to every body's beloved plumber and he would have a scary pants little brother by the name of Luigi although they did not make him look much of a scary pants until the later on games like Luigi's mansion but that's another story for now. Continuing on Nintendo took  Mario and make were he would team up with Luigi to create and perform  the Mario brothers arcade game. Which was another good success that like the original Donkey Kong arcade game or any other arcade game at the time would get ports to various consoles and still be the great original game. However that was not as you may say the take off of the Mario bros storyline. Because like most games at the time Mario brothers the arcade game would just mainly depend on you punching. Attacking. And running from enemies to get a high score and be 1 of the people in the highest score rankings of all time in that game. The point of the Mario bros series and storyline didn't take off until the year 1985 were a game with a similar title called super Mario bros got released on the 3rd Nintendo generation system generally known as the Nintendo entertainment system or nes for short. That title differed from the original Mario brothers arcade game  although it did use some of the basic stuff  such as jumping and what not. After that the series had fully begun and the squeals done continued and the series continued to get more popular as it grew up. So you might ask how would the plumber do an portable gaming system? I will answer that question in this review of Super Mario land on the original black and white game boy.  Before I start this review just letting you know this game will appear in colors if you play it on a game boy color or game boy advance. Emulation not too sure 

Plot The main plot of this game has the old fashion Mario ways you have to go through various levels  and go through many bosses. But you use that good old Nintendo entertainment system button like configuration that means you stomp on enemies  kick their shells grab power ups and other stuff that you can find while playing this game.

Alright taking a look at this Mario title for  the game boy . The graphics of this game despite it being in black and white the sprites and characters themselves are fairly well represented and showed off quite nicely in this game they look fairly and very well detailed the sprites are in natural Mario type size  and look great  it shows off  really nicely if you would take a look at all the previous Mario titles  these graphics just look really good considering how much limited color happens of the original game boy  because of how well detailed they are. Stages themselves are again very well detailed and represented  all stages have clouds bricks everything Mario type  which adds a good sense of familiar things and types that the player might find while playing this game. Graphics gets a 9 rating - which is fairly nice graphics are really good for this game. 

Sound. The Sound compartment would be pretty rich in this case. All familiar sounds of jumping stomping landing on stuff is here. As well as them good old coin sound effects too so the amount and sound of the jumping and what not  is real nice and true to the other Mario games. The Soundtrack is also quite nice again Although not a remix of the classic Mario bros tunes  I rather do find the tunes or music of this game quite catchy and memorable. Nintendo even went as fair as taking the underground theme of this game and remixing it in the super smash brothers brawl game for the Wii. So Soundtrack and the good amount and number of sound effects are nice and good in here I will give it a 10  sounds are nearly perfect and the  soundtrack is nice. 

Addictiveness my reason why I find this game addicting and how often I would play it ? The reason I find the game addicting is because of how fun the challenge gives me and how well and smooth this game and all other Mario games play too and not to mention all adventure games like this had always been greatly addicting.  I would probably play this about  a few weeks . Addictiveness gets a 7 in this case. 

Story now here is something confusing about this game. You know were in the original and other Mario games you would rescue  a princess by the name of Toadstool Peach and fight Bow ser. And do that by completing a lot of levels . But in this game they completely changed that for some odd reason  you now  rescue Daisy and Fight big tigers or ancient ruin temple lions. Story would get a 8 in this rating although it is confusing because the natural way the Mario bros series went.

Depth. This game would mainly just offer a bunch of levels some mini games at the end of those levels to get you extra lives. You really need to play to figure out how many levels there are in the game but the challenge of those levels ant quite easy. Depth would get a 8 in this case 

Difficulty Again as I said in depth the challenge of the levels makes this game pretty hard. Even the lion bosses take quite some time at least for me to get through and beat them. So really this game is a really tough challenge for me. Although the controls work really well . Difficulty gets a 9. 

Overall this is great title and 1 that was gotten a lot of sales and purchases  I really like this game so overall I would rate it a 9.0 .

Great review , really enjoyed reading it , and i would that this game id good but short i could be beaten in one hour becuase it doesn't have that many levels .
