Which emulator are you using? Vizzed uses several. Try playing it under a different one. (Thats why there are two play buttons next to each other)

Yes, I'm afraid it's just a graphical glitch in the ROM. Probably every user has this error. It has been like that for a long time, and will, most likely, never be fixed. Try to play it anyways.
