Please note that this is intended to explain a supposed flaw in the concept of the existence of God, rather than prove said existence. As such, I assume, for the sake of argument, that God is real. Many claim this is disproved by the existence of evil in our world, and that the concept of privatio boni is insufficient, due to not explaining why the absence of good can exist, for the same reason as the issue of evil. This can, however be explained: suppose, as mentioned, that God does exist. We, as humans, cannot perceive Him directly, and therefore must be separate from Him. Thus, any possible interpretation of Him must acknowledge that the set containing everything in the Universe is larger than that containing only God. Therefore, even if every possible point in His set is entirely saturated with goodness and power, thus creating a "perfect being," this goodness cannot possibly be extended to every point in the Universe. This allows for the absence of good.

There is one point that undermines this argument free will, if God was to extend his "goodness" across the universe it would stop our ability to do what we want when we want, if there was no evil in the world we would not be free either so your whole argument is flawed. There is also documented proof that Jesus was real there is also some proof of his miricles.

nerd4life123 : How very Neo-Platonic of you! I think the problem of evil can be better stated without using (I am assuming) Neo-Platonic categories and thereby more helpfully perceived. Evil exists because finite beings, who themselves are good simply in lieu of the fact that they have being, have free will. In my view, the entire problem of evil hinges on what all "free will" entails. Can God be omnipotent, omniscient and omni-benevolent and humans (and all of creation, including animals and storm systems) be truly free? I think so, so long as we modify those terms to include free will and the implication that to violate free will would be a logical contradiction, as demonstrated by Alvin Plantinga.
