Elite: much harder to get. Elites are almost exclusively former staff, the exception being those who donated a lot to vizzed, and those who Davideo7 knows personally.

Depends.  Trust points are gained by being "trustworthy" and a "good user".
To be an elite, you have to be a "huge contributor to the site as a whole".  That means basically serving as staff for about 3 months.

To become a vizzed elite you have to be a very well known and trusted member, been part of vizzed for more than 6 months, and have more than 250 posts. A lot of times retired staff members are given this position. Sometimes davideo picks someone who doesn't fit this criteria but its very rare. 
To become a trusted member you need to have 5 trust points. To earn trust points you have to be be member, post a lot, and contribute to vizzed. Do not ask for them. If you ask for to you will get reported and most likely will lost points. The only time you won't lose points is if you didn't know not to ask for them. But since you know now no excuses

Exactly. Posting is the main way to get people to trust you. Staying in the rgr or being inactive doesn't earn you anything. (Staying in the rgr does give you Contribution Points but you have to post too)

Elite is only given to former staff or people whom have given a lot of money to the site or contributed in other ways (in great amounts) I wouldn't focus on this power level as much.

Contribution Points is also a great way to gain trust from staff. Write great reviews, post screenshots, rate others screenshots/videos/reviews. All those things can give you CP (As well as a bunch of others that I haven't included)
