Depends on the game system or the particular game. Could have something to do with your graphics card or the browser you are using as well as a few other possibilities.

If you could provide more information I might be able to fix the situation.

You could also use the mednafen emulator. This is done by loading the game like usual then clicking the link in the upper left hand corner of the game window. (For the systems that it supports)This might fix your problem.

This emulator also allows full-screen by holding alt+enter on your keyboard with the game window active.
