I choose Tie I like 1 for its single player i mean 2 has more depth but halo 1 is alot more fun. But the multiplayer is kick ass on halo 2 compared to Halo 1 in my oppinion.

I choose Halo 2 as I previously did. The multiplayer is better on Halo 2, and I think the multiplayer is the best aspect about the Halo games

I think it is a tie. They both are really solid.

I liked Halos weapons better and thats about it right now, the story in Halo 2 is really cool too, its kinda flawless so far, but I heard the ending is a dissapointment.

Halo, I will admit has a much richer and more satisfying Campaign. I mean, no levels in Halo 2 compared to the levels in Halo. Few examples of my favorites, AOTCR, The Silent Cartogropher (freaking hours of fun at the Beach, and I loved the tombs. For some goofy reason going underground in this level always reminds me of a Metroid game. ) and Truth and Reconsiliation. (Hardest challenge I had on Legendary, but I still loved this level, it was fun, long, and cool.) Halo 2 has fine maps, my favorites being the Earth levels, and the levels on the 2nd Halo.

A few complaints I have about Halo 2's campaign. The way the levels connected I didn't exactly like it. At first I could hardly tell when I was in another level or not, I was in belief that I was in level 3, and it was really like 6 or 7. So, the game really felt short. The story seemed way to rushed, and there are way too many plotholes to even begin with here. And, I noticed that a lot of the levels on Halo 2 had a lot of uncontrolable parts. For example, moving bridges, huge elevators, etc. I hated all of those parts, not one of them was fun accept for the bridge ride on Delta Halo, because the environment was cool to look at. But besides that, I like to walk around, and I loved the large open levels that Halo had. Something Halo 2 lacked, levels felt more linear at times.

But truth be told, Halo 2's multiplayer, kicks ass. Xbox Live, although I still don't have it, is incredibly fun (played it a couple of times at friends houses, I'm getting Live soon just for this game.) The new modes are great, and each of the levels are well laid out, only complaint I have here is I wish they would have brought back Sidewinder.

So, all in all, I like both in different aspects. For a better single player experience, easily go with Halo, but for multiplayer fun, Halo 2 provides that better than the first.

Halo gave a revolutionary outbreak when it came out, fans were going NUTS for the newest game to come out on Microsoft's brand new Xbox. The storyline was strong, and the multiplayer was pretty fun to jsut to go at it with your friends and such, To say one is better then the other is hard to say, as both came out with different weights on there shoulders.

Halo: Could it live up to what all the Xbox Future Gamers expect?
Halo 2: Could it live up to being as good if not better then Halo before it and not let down the fans?

To Halo 2, the Online Play Is pretty fun. Team Slayer is cool, but I only have a few flaws on it. When you play Slayer or Team, what is the ONE thing that people usually charge for? Sword and Rocket Launcher. Now of course, thats not everyone, for my favorite weapons is the Magnum and the Submachine, but other then that, you see alot of players doing so and just blasting eachother and striking eachothers from behind with no mercy. It starts getting boring after awhile, with people stalking you not because they just want the kill, but they want the sword to go with them lol. Also, I think Banshees are a bit worthless lmao

Other thent hat, I thought the game was pretty strong all around. Endings a dud in my mind. But other then that, good game.

I still call it a tie with what Halo 2 has more to offer then Halo, so ill give them both prizes for being strong games

I would say Halo 1, because I didn't enjoy the ending of 2 at all, but I do agree the gameplay was very nice. Halo 1 just seemed like the way covenant and flood should be, In Halo 2 I think the Convenant and Flood looked a little bit cartoony. There are some good things about 2 that are better than 1, but I think 1 is a more fun/realistic game.

I never got to play the story of either since I refuse to own an xbox. However, the multiplayer is fun in both and Halo 2 grabs it with those swords. *drool over the swords*

Halo 2

Halo 2 would have to be the winner because...
1. Halo 2 has better multiplayer and the maps add alot of depth because they are much more complex.
2. There are stages for 4 player CTF which is crazy fun.
3. The game will eat your soul if you let it.
4. Legendary is actually difficult. It would be much easier for me if i always didn't run out of ammo:-)
5. The most kickass weapon ever (oviously the sword)
6. Better balance between weapons, and the dual wielding adds much more strategy.
7. They will release more maps on X-box live. Mabey even classic versions of past maps or new ones. Or... Gasp mabey even a add-on campain or a little new one. But I seriously doubt it because most of the Bungies are working on a new game.....

Final Point Halo and Halo2 are the best shooters ever... Though i must give respect to Quake arena which is a faster wicked cool game

Halo 1

I'm a fan of wide, open and naturally beatufiul environments, something that there weren't much of in Halo 2. Sometimes, Halo 2 just felt like an endless passageway. The Halo 1 environments, like in the levels Halo, The Silent Cartographer, The jungle level (can't remember the name of it), Two Betrayals were just... great! Also, I loved the other levels, especially Assault At The Control Room and Keyes. Keyes and the inside area of the jungle level had so complex maps I had a hard time finding my way out. I like that.

I must say I enjoyed the weapons of Halo 1 more than in Halo 2. Sure there are some great weapons there, like the sword and the Brute Force, but the Halo 1 weapons were... I don't know what to say. Halo 2 felt like a game. Halo 1 felt like a reality.

I like the Halo 2 multiplayer, especially because you can have Banshees or whatever they're called in Halo 2. The thing I didn't like was that most of the game was focused on the multiplayer. One of the things I really enjoyed with Halo 1 was the great storyline and levels. I agree with XeoZMS, the levels were too linear, and when completing a level, you just thought that the game loaded another part of the level. I also didn't like controlling the Covenant.

All in all, I say Halo 1 is the best.

yo halo 1 is good, but so iz halo 2. the multiplayer in 1 cant stack up to 2, but the story mode waz a breeze to beat...maybe a halo 3 ?

Halo 2 was so much better than the original. i loved its graphic
but the multi player is the best multi player first person shooter that i have ever played.
i was impressed.

Halo 2 kicks halo 1's butt. Better graphics, beter story, better weapons.

Ill go with Halo 2, I just felt the the plot wasn't advanced nearly enough in the first game. Halo 2 gives you more than one perspective and although the campaign was short I believe in ways it still covered more.

I also enjoyed the levels and their layouts/designs more than I did the first game.

Xbox live brings the whole package together, Ive had Halo 2 for at least a few months, and I still play it at least every other day due to the fact that I have xbox live.
