Hey guys, this is ender here(though that's not my real name) and you are reading my walkthrough to mother 3. This game is an RPG where you will be fighting various enemies and bosses to get to the end. To start off I will be explaining a few of the controls to you. A: this is your action button. It is used to interact with various characters and objects, as well as being used to control your fights. B: When outside of battle, this button is used to run. You hold down the button for about one second and then you are off. When in battle, this button can be used to cancel actions. Start: This is your control menu. It is used to check your inventory, equip items, use special abilities, check the status of your characters, and put the game in sleep mode. Select: This button will being up the health and status of each character. R: This will show your map, although if you are following this walkthrough, you wont much need it. Space bar(exclusive to vizzed) If you are playing this on vizzed, than you can use this button to speed up game play. First you start off by naming each of the starting characters in the game. If you select "don't care" for each one then you will come up with the names "Lucas", "Claus", "Flint", "Hinawa" , and "Boney' And I will refer to the characters by these names. Now, you will start the game with an introduction to the landscape. It will show off the place known as nowhere islands and will introduce you to this game known as mother 3. Then the camera will zoom to the room of a little boy and the main character of this game, Lucas. You can walk around your room for a while, though that is fruitless. To progress through the story you should walk downstairs. If you try to walk out the door, your mother Hinawa will tell you to change out of your pajamas. This scenario probably being a joke about the prequel to this game which is called earthbound, as the same event happened at the beginning of earthbound. After this, you have the ability to leave the house. After doing so, you should go to the very clear exit to the right. There, your grandfather Alec will greet you and your twin brother Claus will show you how to play fight with the dragos. New character! Claus is the twin brother of Lucas. He is more outgoing and loves adventure. He is also a lot braver than Lucas, and everyone in the family seems to know that. After play fighting with the dragos, you will encounter a mole cricket. This particular bug is very arrogant and he challenges you and your brother to a fight. After defeating him, he will leave, and Hinawa will come to you saying she stepped on a mole cricket. He is not dead though, and we will be seeing him later on in the game. Hinawa tells us that she has made whatever you listed as your favorite food and Claus, Hinawa, and you leave while Alec stays behind and explains how to save. New mechanic! If you are following through, Alec should have just explained how to save. And it is probably the funniest way of saving any game could have come up with. You save by talking to frogs. Frogs will gain more uses throughout your play through of the game, and they can also make some very funny comments throughout the game. Soon after, you will be shown a scene where Claus will ask Hinawa what her favorite food is and she will tell you and Lucas that her favorite food is the same as yours. Then Alec will remark that the road back to Tazmily Village is so safe, even Lucas could make it there. He laughs at this and Hinawa, seemingly angered at the comment, leaves the room and sends a messenger bird to flint. end of prologue. Chapter 1, the night of the Funeral. We start this chapter watching a setange looking ship fly over and set the forest on fire. Next we see a character named Tom who runs through the town, eventually making it to the house of flint. New character! Flint is the father of Claus and Lucas and is Hinawa's husband. He and the rest of the family live in Tazmily village and Flint alone didn't go to Alec's house so he could tend to the animals. He has the look of the standard cowboy and has the special ability of brute force. Using this special ability he can use very powerful attacks that have a very low accuracy, and he can also increase his strength and defense. Tom will tell flint of the fire and he claims that he likes following behind people, so he does just that. He informs you that you should visit mapson, mapson is located on the upper right bench in the center of Tazmily village. Once you find him he will mark your map and you can continue on with your quest. Go through the upper exit and you will see 4 paths shaped like this +. You should go on the left path. You will enter a forest and you should enter the temple nearby. There you will be asked to give your REAL name. Fun fourth wall breaking! multiple times throughout this game, they will break the fourth wall. It is usually hilarious the way they try to convey to you that they want YOUR real name. I really enjoy the way they do this. After you do this, leave the temple and move to the left. Move through the people blocking the entrance. When you do that you should follow the linear path. Then you will see a path shaped like a backwards L. On the right there is a hot spring that will heal all status ailments and restore you to full health. Looks good ender. You might want to ask the globals to take your layout off though. It's a lot easier to read and you wont have to keep scrolling. |
