Now this is a Sonic hack that is challenging. But then any hack featuring Amy Rose is. Sonic's self-proclaimed girlfriend goes on a journey, either alone or
with Tails, to try to thwart Dr.Eggman's latest attempts for World
Domination, with hundreds of robot animals patrolling the zones she
travels through. The graphics and music, as well as the content and story remain exactly the same as in Sonic 3 and Knuckles, but what will increase is the overall difficulty and the fact that the controls for Amy Rose can be tough to master. Amy will have strengths and weaknesses that are incomparable to the other characters. In fact, her moves closely resemble the ones on the Sonic Advance games for the Gameboy Advance. So that means she won't have the ability to perform spin-dash, but will be able to charge-up her running speed. Amy carries on her journey her Piko-piko Hammer that she uses either to attack enemies or to gain height in her jumps, though without the hammer her jumping ability is weaker than that of Sonic's. She cannot fly like Tails or glide/climb like Knuckles, so she has to be very careful when jumping and levels may be more time-consuming in comparison with the other characters. Amy likes doing things the hard way, especially if it leads to whom she calls her 'darling' Sonic. Overall, if Sonic the Hedgehog games are becoming easy, this hack will carry with it a huge amount of difficulty, so Amy Rose hacks will be very interesting to try out.

Nice work here. You give detail and explain the changes from the original, and describe the gameplay. Good work. It would be good to hear your thoughts on the graphics and sound etc. All in all, good stuff.

Didn't know there was a hack with Amy instead.

I usually enjoy playing as Amy on the Advance titles... Mainly because of the difficulty's raise, and because playing with her gives the game a whole new feel.

Whenever I feel bored, I'll give it a shot. Nice review.
