I would choose organized crime because they were not really after american citizens. The only people they really ever attacked are Cops and the locations of the crime like the bank they did not really kill a s*** load of people on the streets randomly. i have more respect for organized crime then unorganized. Dont get me wrong unorganized crime is not as much of a threat as organized when it comes to getting them busted, but its not as safe on the streets with unorganized crime compared to organized crime.

Sorry about the topic title spelling error!!!

I suppose then flying a plane into a building is the same as spray painting your name on the street?

I don't think terrorism should be counted as organized crime, or unorganized in case anyone thinks I meant to imply that. There's just something different about it and it. I think that the world would be better with only Unorganized crime. If you ask me, I'd say that unorganized crimes are influenced by organized crime organizations or groups or whatever. Without the organized aspect the unorganized wouldn't be "inspired" or whatever and plus, unorganized crimes are far easier to solve.

Hold-up. Yes the Oklahoma City bombing was organized. Lots of thought and planning went into that. And i was also more referring to the sensless murder of people on the subway, and innocent people at work.

The Oklahoma City bombing was brought out by two people.

Most bank hold ups have more people involved in them than that.

And what about Eric Robert Rudolph? He acted alone.

If the only terrorists in the world were apart of Al Queda, Sure It'd be an organized crime. But terrorism isn't allways a group of organized people.

While 'organized' has many meanings, I see Organized Crime as an Orginzation of people devoted to crimes of different fashions.

And the dictionary has a special listing just for Organized Crime apart from the term Organized.

organized crime
n.

1. Widespread criminal activities, such as prostitution, interstate theft, or illegal gambling, that occur within a centrally controlled formal structure.
2. The people and the groups involved in such criminal activities.

I don't see how terrorism allways falls into that.

Of course terrorism is a crime. But not all terrorism is organized crime. Thus it doesn't fit the description.

There's a difference between an organized act of violence.

Read: Thought out, pre planned etc.

And Organized crime.

Read:

1. Widespread criminal activities, such as prostitution, interstate theft, or illegal gambling, that occur within a centrally controlled formal structure.
2. The people and the groups involved in such criminal activities.
