Like many people do, I also think swords are completely awesome. Maybe it's just that a couple feet of steel or other metals is completely intimidating and that intimidation factor leads to respect, and well respect for something usually turns into thinking that it is awesome. It may be that the sword is a well known symbol of strength(as well as power, honor, courage, and the like), rightfully so I might add, that also leads to the respect that many people have for it. Personally I do own a sword, however I only own one, a nice looking Katana that I found for a nice affordable price locally.

I don't have any swords, I would really like to have one but my mother doesn't want me playing around with them.
I have a dagger but that's about it lmao

Sun-Wukong : Woah, that's definitely something! haha

I am yet another person on here who thinks swords are totally awesome and who purchased a cheap katana as their first sword. Since then I have added several other blades to my collection including both replica and authentic blades. My favorite two in my collection I got at a rendezvous in Portage, Wisconsin from a friend of mine. He made the short sword himself, but the other sword the only work that he did was crafting the hilt and the scabbard. The blade was found when he and a friend were doing some foundation repair on his friends house.

I personally don't have any swords although I would really like to collect some. My friend on the other hand collects them and has quite a few of them. He has many katanas. It's really cool.

I don't want a sword, but I would like a staff some what like the item in the item shop called the blizzard staff because it would be kinda cool to have a staff that freezes people to sub-zero temperatures.

I absolutely love swords, I've been a collector on and off over the years. I even almost lost my finger in a sword fight, receiving 6 stitches in the process.
I have a old display calvalry sword that I removed the handle and replaced it with a 10 inch open elk antler grip. I also moved it further up the blade to create a full tang, it's pretty sweet right now.
I used to have a really nice katana with a full tang but lent it to a friend for a movie he was shooting and it got lost after he passed away. But that's ok because I'm currently in negotiations to purchase a beautiful full tang katana that was hand made in japan for a smoking deal, over 50% off retail price! It has amazing balance and has the level of quality that I've been looking for ever since I started collecting 20 years ago! I'm very excited!
A couple months ago I made a real sweet ninjato for my daughter out of wood, she loves it and uses it to practice her martial arts.
