I took down the Vizzed Youtube Video Uploader a few weeks ago but it's now back up.
What is the 'Vizzed Youtube Video Uploader'? It allows you to upload videos to the Vizzed youtube account that you recorded with the Vizzed RGR Plugin. This is convenient for users who don't have a youtube account, don't want to clutter their own youtube account or simply want to help out vizzed. Where do you find the 'Vizzed Youtube Video Uploader'? In the video section of any game page, you'll see a link that says 'Click to Upload your Video to Vizzed Youtube', you click that. How do you record videos using the Vizzed RGR Plugin? Not all games support it but many games let you record a video of yourself playing the game by pressing either F8 or clicking the Record button which appears in the play window. By default, some games don't support video recording so sometimes you gotta click the 'Play game using Mednafen' link at the top left of the play window. Be sure to shrink your videos afterward using Freemake. Here's how you can earn Viz by simply recording yourself playing games This is probably the easiest way to earn lots of Viz; simply record videos of your gameplay and upload it to either your youtube account (be sure to link your video to the game's page) or by uploading it to the Vizzed youtube account. Is it possible to use the built-in video recorder and download the footage to my computer so I can edit it, rather than upload it directly to YouTube?

Sun-Wukong : Yeah you certainly can. In fact, that's recommended because I usually suggest people use Freemake to shrink down their video file before uploading it.

So, would it be alright to use the recording software to make a Let's Play series, with my own commentary over the footage?

Not sure if I got this right... Do you mean we can upload videos of the games on vizzed directly on youtube without having an own registered youtube account? I knew about the possibility to upload videos on youtube, but until this moment I thought you had to have an own account to do so.

Awesome~
Though, I kinda have a little problem, if anything. The uploading time seems to eb a bit inconsistent. Specifically, I've uploaded about 4 or 5 videos out of 8 that I recorded so far, and the first 5 went through quite smoothly and whatnot. However, these last three are taking a lifetime. I started the three of them at around 8:30, and exited two at 9:30, hoping it would help the third upload quicker. Now, at 10:30, I seem to still be waiting. I know it gave the warning regarding the internet connection, but on my desktop, it's quite near perfect, really. Also, each video is about the same length of time as the other. Generally, around 3 to 3 and a half minutes long. To put it simple, should this be of any concern, or is it something that's probably just normal? If it helps, the first 2 (SMB3 and 1) were on the NES, then I uploaded one from the SNES (SMW), then back to the NES games (SMB2 and MM3, probably in reversed order, I forgot). The ones that didn't get to finish are on the Turbo Grafix (Bonk's Revenge), Genesis (Sonic 1), and NES (Kirby). And yes, all are (attempting) to be uploaded to the Vizzed youtube account, not my Youtube account, Nya~. |

Sun-Wukong : Yeap you can definitely do that.
bombchu link : You didn't use the & character in your description did you? slimeface1212 : What kind of illegal drug are you on? Ryroe : Correct. MegaRevolution1 : Did you compress some of the videos and not the others? Also, was the site by any chance slower while you were uploading the last 3? That doesn't sound normal. |

Nope, no compressions at all. It wasn't necessarily slow, but I did notice after giving up and getting on the Wii U that there were a couple of things glitching up, such as the sub-forums or the post radar. I merely passed it off, thinking forum issues wouldn't coincide with RGR issues. But, based on your question, I'm guessing that it was kinda the problem?...

MegaRevolution1 : It could've been related to site glitches.

Alright, it's working fine now. Upon checking the videos, I think it may have been a combination of the fact that the ones I was trying to upload were all longer than the previous ones (Sonic was almost 4 minutes, Kirby was 7+ minutes) and the small glitches that ended up making it take a while longer. But they're working fine now, so there's no problem anymore, Nya~.

Sorry for the double post, but uh, I have a question. I uploaded a video to the F-ZERO (SNES) page, and apparently it was the wrong one (I had multiple tries, naming each one the same thing, assuming they all stuck to the same name, but apparently not). Is there any way to remove the video, or is it basically permanently stuck there? Note, it's on the Vizzed account, not my personal one. (If it helps, Here's the link to the video I uploaded)
The only reason why this is a problem really is because it's one of the losing tracks, as opposed to the one I meant to upload that had a winning finish, Nya~. EDIT:: Same problem with another video I uploaded, this being my Sonic and Knuckles video. This one is worse, since I didn't even finish the level OR video for it. Link right here EDIT2:: Also, for fair warning, I did end up uploading the correct videos for the two games, so if there is a way to get rid of the two bad ones, I feel like this warning is a bit necessary, Nya~. MegaRevolution1 : I just removed it for you. For future reference, all staff have the ability to remove videos from game pages.
I also went ahead and deleted the 2 videos from the youtube account. I'm the only one who can delete videos from there. |
