Just a few minutes ago I were thinking, if I were to make my room in anyway I wanted it to, make the room in a way I would feel the happiest perosn in the world to have made such a great room, how I would like it to be?

I'll probably make a multiple theme room, put many things from many different series, such as Digimon (yes, I like Digimon over Pokemon, why? Got a problem!!!??? To bad.), Final Fantasy, etc, put a wallpaper that have a great similarity with the series 'world', the floor, the blankets curtains, wardrobe, etc, etc, etc, I room that I would pass a whole year sleeping in it, without stopping for such a great room it would be.

SO! How would you make your dream room? How would you make your personal room, which you sleep, play your PS2 (if you have one), on your megadrive or on your TV (if your TV have 15 NES like games)?

Local Mods : I'm not sure if I put this thread on the right place, if I put it on the wrong place, could you move it to it's proper place, pwease?

For me, I would have a lot of old consoles all around the room, and I would have a bunk bed. My wallpaper would probably be combinations of all the famous nes games.

I think my dream room would be kind of like a library, full of shelves to keep all my books and games and videos and what have you. It would be a much easier way to keep things organized; better than the piles I have a lot of my stuff in now, at least.

My initial thought was to line the walls with shelves, but that would severely limit opportunities for decorating, so again, like a library, they would stand free in the middle of the room instead. That way I could have a nice color, maybe lilac or burgundy or a darker purple, or maybe even a shade of blue--it really depends on how it would look on the wall--with a few tastefully placed posters here and there, and a nice window with a reading nook (that I would probably also use for my laptop and portable game systems).

Hardwood floors, definitely. I've had enough trouble with carpet in the past, and I just like the way hardwood looks. Rugs, on the other hand, might serve nicely to break up the monotony, and I guess tiles would be dandy in a kitchenette area--I mean, who would want to leave their dream room just to go to their kitchen for something a kitchenette could do just as easily, like a quick snack? Anywho, floors aren't that important, so as long as it isn't fully carpeted.

TVs all over the place, of multiple kinds! Old ones, new ones, just in case one might be better for a particular application that another. We've all been disappointed by how a standard definition game looks on a high definition TV, right? So, the best SDTV, which is to say widescreen with full component in and S-Video. Of course, an HDTV would be a must, and a projector with a nice big screen.

Dimmer switches, and beanbag chairs everywhere! Sure, regular chairs for people who prefer them--I mean, no reason to have such an awesome room if I'll be the only person to use it--but for my own personal preference, SumoSacs are where it's at. I'd probably get bored of them after a while and want something more supportive, though, so again, having regular chairs would be good.

Now, if this is a bed room, it would be a friggin' huge one at this point, but I'd still like some semblance of intimacy and . . . you know, coziness. I'm thing bed-fort. Basically, imagine a canopy bed, but the mattress would be hug and flat on the floor, with and equally large canopy fixed to the wall above it. That way, I could close the canopy-curtains when I wanted to room to seem small (when I sleep), or leave them open. Best of both worlds. The mattress would have nice silk sheets, probably black, and the canopy would be whatever color best complimented the color of the walls, I suppose. The mattress would also have tons of stuffed animals on it, which is to say, the ones I already have and whichever I pick up in the future. Mostly Sonic characters.

Yeah, now my real room seems even crappier...

Ooh. I'd have a two-story bedroom. Bottom floor would be my big, comfortable bed, a huge desk with lots of cubby holes and a computer with two screens and all the geek gadgets, and random bedroom stuff. Everything would have really mod, cool wallpaper and hardwood floor with scattered throw rugs to soften it. Upstairs, which you would access by means of a curving staircase, would be  a wrap-around library like area with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves (with those cool library leaning ladders to reach the high areas). The center would be open to look down into the sleeping area. The ceiling would be a huge stained glass dome. There'd be a kind of a reading nook with a big fluffy chair for curling up into, a reading lamp with a full spectrum bulb, and a small coffee service area for late night pots of coffee.

My dream bedroom would look like a game system exploded.  There would be references to a whole bunch of video games.  Probably a Fire Emblem themed bed/bed sheets,  a whole bunch of characters from games I like on the walls, a TV in front of my bed, and other stuff that I cannot think of now, but I would put in if I was building it.  Probably a desk with my laptop in it somewhere.  I am not sure now, but it would end up looking great to me.

One wall red, one wall purple, one wall orange, one wall yellow. Each of these colors are supposed to affect your mood. Also my room would include a flat hammock, a bean bag, and a little refrigerator

Heh, I had a dream room when I was a teen living with my mom -- it had whatever I wanted since I paid for it all with my job at the time... those times were cool and I miss them because of nostalgia and what not... now my dream room is to have my own place and not share it with a roommate lol.
