I'm pretty sure you can pay 1000 Viz to get one... or maybe that's an old rule... I can't remember.

Devon finally got to 100 points. Top 5 are still set....

not much else has happened... a few people have moved up fairly fast into the teens... but not much else to say.... another pretty even day....

But yeah.... I don't see the top 5 likely to be changing.... Juliet may not hang on but I doubt David will lose his spot....

I barely missed out on the top 10 today but I do think I've got a pretty good overall position in 4th. I probably have no chance for anything above 4th though.

I would say the top 2 are up for grabs between me and DH.... either one of us could win, especially with me not posting as much right now....

third is Devon's... I don't see him catching up to second and I doubt anyone is going to catch him with the volume of posting going on.... you would have to beat him by 4+ points a day in order to catch him and I doubt anyone is going to do that.

But yeah, 4th seems pretty secure... fifth is up for grabs because Juliet doesn't seem to post anymore. Solehite, Rasen, gtwalqm or Eliminator all have a pretty good chance of catching her.... 30 or less points over the last 10 days or so.... that is pretty easy. When you can get up to 6 or 7 points with only 15-20 posts in a day it's very possible to catch 5th place....

I keep thinking that next time I do this that it won't be for Viz... it should just be for fun and whoever wins (either top 3 or 5) will get a custom title for winning.... that's how it used to be... it just seems to not make sense to award Viz for the winner when they already get so much Viz because they posted the most.... although I would be interested in comparing the total post count over the last 30 days to the point totals to see if they match for the top 10 or so.... might be interesting...

Yeah a Viz reward does seem a little unecessary but some may appreciate it.

I'd be tempted to award a cash prize for July as a way to really increase activity and competition but I'd just hate to risk a ton of people spamming in order to get posts. Plus things would potentially get pretty heated between competing members. If there was a way to keep this under control though I'll consider it because we could really generate some activity (but would of course have to hire another mod to help control potential spam).

Custom title works but majority of people who are going to get the custom title are probably going to be Trusted Members which means they're already qualified to change their title.

Yeah... I agree. There should be no cash prize. That'll attract many people to spam the board, and its not nice to go to vizzedboard anymore if the board's full of spammers.
Its more fun to compete without any big prizes.

well generally it just takes about 15-20 posts to secure a spot in the top 10.... even on days with major posting there were still people with 15 posts in the top 10.

so you just need 5-10 more and you'll be getting points today

well, talk about a slow day! I won with only 21 posts.... that is usually only good enough for third or fourth.

Well, I don't want to get too ahead of myself but I think today solidified my spot in first place... I don't think DH can get enough points to take me out of top spot.... because it's so easy to get 3rd or 4th right now he can only get 2 or 3 more points than me and I have a 27 point lead right now. We'll see how it goes but I doubt I will lose.

Juliet on the other hand is now only 1 point away from davideo.... and Rasen made a pretty good jump today as well... maybe not enough to get into the top 5 but still a pretty good effort.

I would love to see a close race for the 5th position between 2 or 3 people... would make the end of this a little more interesting.

Though I do wonder what happened to ziggy posting heaps like he said he would be...

I've been wondering about him too.... I honestly wouldn't have minded if he were around now.... I've got such a big lead that he could take first for the rest of the month and still not beat me....

but post count is definitely lower without him around

not really... him and I had 1 or 2 days where we really both went for the win.... but since the first week he's barely been on....

mostly just to help with the murder mystery.... which is winding down.... we have 1 day left of guestions and guessing before the game is over. I haven't seen him much other than that though. It's really too bad... DH has stayed close to me but never really made a push to take the lead. I think he could have gotten closer than he is right now.

Yeah although I might pass DH today but I kinda don't feel like it.
