So yea, the news came out recently, and it was far from what I thought/ hoped.
so yea...... Itoi's Mother development is Mother 2 on the Wii U Virtual Console. 
Wow.... that was far off all right. Also, back on the 20th, Itoi made an appearance in a Mother 2 Wii paradise (I don't a Wii U, I don't know names yet :l )
So yea, not what we fans hoped, but it's a good thing the Japan fans get to play it, but here's the MAJOR downside. 
It won't be released in America, LIKE ALWAYS. EarthBound still is breaking apart in America, sad to say. EarthBound's legal issues can be a big cause for Nintendo, but sometimes I get the vibe Nintendo HATES EarthBound. Reggie Fils Aime, to us fans, has always seemed to hate Mother with all of his heart and tries to keep EarthBound out of America. Shouldn't Itoi try to get it here anyway? He has obviously recognized us west fans, so why not try? He even THANKED Starmen.net for being dedicated. 
So, what are your opinions on this?

Just because Reggie hates mother doesn't mean we hate mother when is he gonna realize its not all about him in my opinion I love mother it's a great rpg and Iam highly curious how they would put it on a wii u mostly because I never touched or seen the gamepad yet well I did see it in a video but that's about it

austipokedude : I didn't say everyone hated Mother just because Reggie does. Nintendo hates EarthBound mostly because of its poor sales back in 1995. Well, they have themselves to blame for hiring an idiot that came up with a "This Game STINKS!" slogan. Mother has a huge fanbase that Nintendo has already noticed but has ignored.

Beastmode64 : I honestly think this is important for all Mother fans to see, so I'm keeping it stickied.
Also THIS IS NOT IN AMERICA LIKE I SAID IN MY POSTS, WE'RE NOT GETTING EARTHBOUND FOR THE VC, WE'RE GETTING PUNCH OUT INSTEAD. However, people are trying their best to put it there, but there's little hope for now.

Alright. This can stay sticked. It is a little weird though because we have like 5 threads sticked. But we can keep it like this for right now. 

Mother3fan5 : "This game stinks" is only the tip of the iceberg. Really, the US just wasn't ready for earthbound. At the time, RPG as a genre was just starting to actually get noticed in America and Square was delivering Final Fantasy games to US shores. A simplistic looking game like EB was unheard of for us at the time. (The closest thing we had to simplistic was Final Fantasy Mystic Quest.) People wanted games like dragon quest and Secret of Mana, not some bright and colorful game! That stuff is for little kids! (Well, obviously they were wrong but you get my point.) Really, it was a matter of taste. Japan as a whole really loved the Mother series as well as other RPGs, while in America we were still new to RPGs and people didn't have the same feel for them like they did in Japan. Thus, Nintendo just couldn't hit the mark when they released EB in America. "This game stinks" was just a small part, like I said earlier. EB could have been huge, but there were many contributing factors preventing it from doing so. Nintendo is discouraged from re-releasing (As well as scared of the licensing issues XD) and they have every reason to be discouraged. That's all I have to say for now. If I think of something new then I will write another novel for you all. Peace
