I think we can all agree when I say that both mupen64 and 1964 both are not as good as project64, so why is project64 not one of the emulators you can play N64 games on this site then? I think it should, its WAY less glitch, i played yoshi's story on 1964 and there was texture glitchs everywhere and blue lines crossing down the screen of the game, and when i played it on Project64 it was almost perfect, better then the other 2 emulators. and don't even get me started on mupen64, the music was choppy and it had even more texture glitchs then 1964. So vote, mupen64, 1964, or project64.

I never heard of project 64, and never tried it, and mupen64 has tons of graphical errors every time I try to use it. So 1964 gets my vote. It works well most of the time, as only crashed a few times, and not in more than a year, and with the newest plugin, there are even less problems, such as some sound errors I've had before. But maybe my answer will change if I try project 64.

Project64 is my favorite emulator, because it's easy to use and easy to configure. If you cannot run a certain game at 100% speed, there's always a way to overcome it. You just have to change some plugins and configure them properly, and there you go. Also,a lot of people use Project64 for online gameplay with Kaillera, that's because it's a very stable emulator when it comes to multiplayer. Almost no lag or delay.
Too bad Project64 kind of got discontinnued...that's because of other emulators like 1964.

Yeah, Project64 is better because when I try to play games here in the 1964 emulator, it lags a lot and it's really annoying. Plus, I agree with Mupen64 being a pain because it seems like every time I play, the graphical glitches keep getting worse.

Project 64. It plays in full speed, even if you have a bad graphics card.

I've actually never used a N64 emulator that ever worked that well. The last time I used Project64 was on an older computer, but even that lagged pretty badly back then. Said computer ran Dreamcast games faster than it ran Project64... and it seems like no N64 emulator ever had full compatibility with the games I actually wanted to play.

So this is pretty much why I've stayed away from N64 emulation. In my experience, it has never been good (I've tried 4 different N64 emulators so far).

Crazy Li : I know just how you feel, I am still to find a perfect Nintendo 64 emulator.

It's ridicules that we have Wii emulators. But not pristine N64 ones.

 I prefer Project64, but I haven't tried mupen yet.

bombchu link : Exactly! I can run Wii games far more reliably than N64 ones and that's just nuts.
