Does anybody know how to use a mouse in light gun shooters? I want to play Jurassic Park but the controls feel weird. I went to the controls menu for the game and it had the mouse X and Y axes pre-set, but it doesn't work when I try to play the game. I don't think the mame rom even recognizes that the mouse is there. The next best thing would be to make it so the controls aren't self centering, i.e. when I use the arrow keys to make the cursor thingy move, it doesn't go back to it's starting position when I let go. If you think you can help with any of this, I would be very grateful.

I don't think that  you can use the mouse in rgr games.

I tested it and MAME games use the keyboard. If you want to change the controls press esc on you keyboard. Then press input and change it. I know there are a lot of different things, but play around with it.

I'm not quite sure how you configure your mouse axis to work appropriately although I will say that it's easy to set up to use with an analog controller. If I find something that's easy to follow on the internet, I will link it here for your reference.
