I'm not going to lie, Sonic suffered some serious losses. A hedgehog's life span is 3 years, right? The sonic game that most consider to the last of the good was Sonic and Knuckles, released 3 years after the Sonic franchise started. Is that just a coincidence? Probably, like why would a company like Sega purposely be pumping out bad games? Lets talk about a few bad games.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2006: Ok, I'm just going to say it. I went in 2006 with high hopes this game will bring Sonic back to life, but it felt like pooring salt into a wound. It was that horrible. The physics are just a joke.(You can stand side ways on check points.) The music was as great as all Sonic games, but that's the only good thing in the game. I even would stand at a stage just for the music.

Sonic the Hedgehog Triple Trouble: As Team Rocket said: "Get ready for trouble" and that is what is a small summary of this game. The controls are sluggish and slippery. The stages are confusing. The game is bland. That's all I'm going to say about this.

That wraps up the bad in the beloved franchise, but don't think there isn't good! We had Sonic Colors, Sonic Generations, and Sonic Rush.
Don't give up on Sonic Sega!

I'm guessing we're talking about what games seem to be what caused Sonic's fall. In that case, I got one for you. Sonic Blast for the Game Gear. Oh boy, can you say, "bad graphics"? Because that's what this game is, horrible graphics, and what's up with the level names? Yellow Desert, Red Volcano, and Green Hill all in a row. Why is it in this specific game, the levels are all named after COLORS? Is it supposed to be cliché, because boy, that's cliché.

Alright now I'm going to complain.

Sonic Triple Trouble, was not a bad game, its far from perfect, but it improved upon the previous 3 Sonic Game Gear titles, I thought the control was decent, and the stages are not bad at all (except for Tidal Plant Zone.)

There were many worse Sonic games then Sonic Triple Trouble, Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic R, Sonic and the Black Night. I know this is your opinion but I'm just saying, Sonic Triple Trouble isn't bad.

Personally, I can't think of any Sonic games that have sucked... but to be honest, Sonic Generations was a bit too much for my taste.

I mean, it's a good game and all.. but constantly having to switch between 3D and 2D is a bit annoying at times and some of the controls are a tad bit wacky.

Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic 06 and Black Knight. Shadow: Swearing? Guns? Really? Plus the stage designs and BGMs were bland and boring, and it kills the "choose your own path" gimmick by adding a final Story. Sonic 06: Glitchy, full of plot-holes, and plenty more reasons why I don't like it. Black Knight: The sword is a lame excuse to add a wii mote gimmick which gave me a sore arm after playing.

sonic and the black knight was an amazing game which was my first sonic game. personly my least favorite is that saturn/pc crapp known as sonic school house that game really sucks unlike any other sonic game (shadow the hedgehog doesn't count as a sonic game because you're playing as shadow  not as sonic and sonic 2006 is glitchy because it was released too early because of the fans)

Hands down:  Sonic Labyrinth for the Game Gear.  I mean, why the heck would they remove the most critical part of the Sonic series, SPEED!  It's like taking away jumping in a Mario game, it's ridiculous and shouldn't have been made.

For me it was Sonic Shuffle for the Dreamcast mainly because. It was even worse than Sonic 06 and that is saying something. Personally, I like it and don't think Sonic 06 isn't "terrible" or "great" but more "average" like 6.5/10. Aside from the outstanding music, I enjoyed (despite several plot holes) Shadow's and Silver's story. I actually felt a bit depressed and sad (unlike that moment from the Last story) over the ending to Silver's story. I also liked Silver as a character, NOT a boss.

In my opinion the fall of Sonic was when Sonic Genesis hit. (The Game Boy Advance) Lucky for us, that was also the day of Sonic 06's release. From November of 06, Sonic has been going down Green Hill Zone and straight into Rock Bottom.
