GenesisJunkie : I have both of those. lol I love Toejam & Earl, and Haunting is just awesome because of it's originality. I mean, why can't we have games taking radical departures from the norm like this more often?

I'll have to agree with Genesisjunkie. It was definiely "haunting". If I need to give an origional answer, then there was a game on the PSX, where you controlled a cat that with the help of his friends (one of whom was a professor, that was also a cat) had to use a special device to capture mice. I don't remember the name of it, but it was odd. Kind of a new take on the old "capture" game from the atari days (halfway guessing at that one's name too).

Little Nemo: The Dream Master for NES. Though I love that game to death, the concept is just weird. You have to put animals to sleep with candy that is presumably drugged, use their bodies as costumes, and use that costumes ability to defeat enemies and overcome obstacles to get to the end of the level, Really strange game.

That would have to be F.E.A.R. At least at first. I mean I expected it to be that way but if you were to play it without knowing what it was about on a random Interval, you would think the same. But a couple other really weird ones are Ao Oni and HetaOni.

Yume Nikki, brah. It's like LSD Emulator's little sister. And this time it has symbolism. This game gave me more nightmares than them creepypasta pictures (whoever draws those is insane) It's still a very fun game with a sense of exploration, but why is the there bird people and blood and freaky cyclops thingies and a screaming thingy that gets upset if you decide to throw a rave party ER MAI GAWD Also the Persona series is kind of weird but not really. Persona 2 still has best characters though:   Yep.

The strangest game I have ever played would be a freeware  RPG(?) game called Vidiot Game. There isn't much of a plot in the game, instead you start the game by (sometimes) being able to create a character from his race (Vegetable, Utensil, Fungi), his Skill and Money, the length of his nose/tounge (the game changes between the two randomly), his class (including odd ones like janitor, mime, and cosmonaut), and his alignment (Lawful Idiot, Neutral Random, or True Chaos.) Sometimes you don't even get to create your character ; sometimes you go through an odd 'personality' test or the game chooses the character for you.
After that, you go through a series of randomly generated events such as running away from a crazed truck/vortex/dust storm, entering the lottery, sprinting, robbing the bank, or even merging with bees for no explained reason. The real beauty of the game is how random and inconsistent it is. One moment the game announces "Seeking vengeance you go to Venezuela", but the next moment you're in some odd tunnel and you are asked to find the terminal, but once you get to the end of the tunnel, this terminal is never seen and it is never mentioned again. There are odd effects that appear in the game, such as everything looking like vector graphics in one scene, subliminal messages saying SUBMIT, or the color palette messing up. Sometimes your character gets injured/high/depressed and it causes the sprites to intentionally flicker like an NES game when there are too many things on screen, and it will stay like this until your character dies. You will die a lot as well. Most of the time you will die if you make a decision that costs your life (don't make chums with the dog and please don't bother fighting the time genie). There's this one part where for some reason you have to hack a computer or die, and if you get the password right, you'll get a message like "There is no Santa Claus."
There are multiple endings in this game dependint on the decisions you made. One ending I got involving my character inheriting his father's escalator company as he gets stuck on an escalator. To keep it simple, this game is basically WarioWare meets RPGs. I recommend this to anyone who's curious.

Super Mario land 2 (GBA): that was kind of weird. At one point you get swallowed up by a turtle, there's a level in Mario's crotch that's filled with balls,( no joke ) and its just plain weird(but fun)!

Probably the laughing scene in Final Fantasy X/10 where Yuna and Tidus are laughing together... That horrible sound... I bet that the voice actors were FOR SURE not getting paid enough!

An incredibly weird game that is really good at the same time would have to be Cocoron.

It's odd how everything fits together despite making no sense at all.
The game is somewhat like Megaman, but with a customisable character(head, body, and weapon)

Viva Pinata was pretty weird to me just because it was a game where you grew a garden and if you met certain criteria then other pinata's shaped as animals would come.. and in the end they all just end up killing each other
