So ive been playing Pokémon Light Platinum on my laptop for a few days and it saves just fine, but my laptop charger just stopped working and I wont have the money for a new one for awhile. So when I tried to play Light Platinum on my PC it didn't have my saved file, even though I was logged into my account, is their any way I can change this? Or is my laptop the only computer that will have my saved file on it?

If you are using the vizzed rgr plug-in the games are saved onto your computer.
Does your laptop still have some battery or did you use it all.
Maybe you can try copying the save file and moving them to your other computer if it has battery power left.
I'm not 100% sure it will work, but if you copy it you wont lose anything.
If you don't know how to transfer the files you can pm me or the rgr staff.

Well you will need a flash drive or usb. (not sure what it is called).

First you need to find the place where the save files are stored.

Then make a copy of the save file.

Then move the copy to the flash drive.

Then put then take the save file out of your flash drive.

Next put the save files onto your other computer.

I know this is kinda confusing, but someone else can probably explain it better.

Once you get the files onto your second computer I can't help anymore. Sorry. Also you don't have to do this if you think you will mess something up.

BradHawk : Save states are saved to the local computer that you made the saves on. In order to resume your game on a different computer you have to move that save file from the vizzed folder on the original computer to the same folder on the computer you want to resume on.

RGR save files can be accessed on your PC by going to Start Menu > All Programs > Vizzed Retro Game Room > Open Plugin Data Folder > User-(Your user number) > VBA > Saves.

Try going to Start Menu > All Programs > Vizzed Retro Game Room > Open Plugin Data Folder > User-(Number). In that folder you'd find the different game system folders since save files are saved locally on your PC instead of Vizzed's server.

So, the save files would be the following:

Save File Types
.sav = Game Boy Advance & Game Boy Color & Game Boy - Save File
.sgm = Game Boy Advance & Game Boy Color & Game Boy - Save State File
.sav0 = Nintendo 64 - Save File
.eep = Nintendo 64 - Save File
.m0-.m3 = Nintendo 64 - Save File
.sav0 = Nintendo 64 - Save File
.srm = Super Nintendo - Save File
.zst = Super Nintendo - Save State File
.zs1-sz9 & .z10-z99 = Super Nintendo - Save State File
.fc0-.fc4 = Nintendo - Save State File
.gs0 = Sega Genesis & 32X - Save State File

If for some reason you can't access the Data Folder, or the directory you might find it in your Local Settings folder.

fire emblem10604 : It's really annoying for you to say to close a thread before the person even responds. To reply in a thread just to say to "close it" is spam. Plain and simple.

Besides this person hasn't said that they were successful in doing what I instructed. Give him a chance.

I realize what you are trying to do and that you want to help the mods, but these things wind up just being spam.

Popeye116 :
pi0x : Wait and see what happens before closing this please.

So yea I highly doubt anyone is still viewing this thread, but I just got a laptop charger. (yes it took this long) its a pain in the butt, but anyways I tried to open the file vizzed retro game room > open plug in data folder, but whenever I click the plug in data folder it says (another installation is already in process please complete that one before starting a new one) I don't know whats installing but  cant open the folder, so can I copy just the vizzed retro game room folder, and will that have my saved data?

BradHawk : Yes, but there are a few things. 1. You don't need to transfer the whole folder over, just your save files. You still need to install the plugin on whichever computer you wish you play on.

If you are using Vista or later, the file folder will be in your "Program Data" folder

Please refer to my detailed instructions above.

Save files are separated by system/game

Since this thread is really old, I'm going to close it. Feel free to PM me if you have further questions regarding this issue.
