http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2253370/Christmas-sucks-Dozens-spoiled-brats-Twitter-complain-getting-presents-wanted.html

I am grateful that I got some stuff for Christmas. Kids like these don't deserve what they got, I would've been happy with the stuff they have gotten. Not only that, if I were their parents, they wouldn't get anymore gifts. At least with gift cards and money as presents you can use it on gifts you want, relatives can't read minds, they don't know what you want.

I think your link is broken...

But yeah, if  I got things like the kids (gift cards and money?) I would be fine, At least I got something  for Christmas.

EDIT: Now that I got to read it, These kids are getting stuff that I could only WISH of getting, and they are raging over not getting the right color, or an apple product. Also, I've always thought that Apple products is really over-priced garbage (mostly with their ipods).

link works fine.
While many people are greedy aholes i would state one point.
That is the daily mail.
The same paper that stated by 2030 white people would be a minority.
Its like the uks answer to fox news.
The tone of that article is far from impartial, I wouldnt dwell on it.

I find these stories quite humorous. Makes me feel a bit better about myself because even if I don't exactly like my presents, I always gratefully thank my parents for them and I would never go online and say "how much Christmas sucks".

I know that the source is suspect, which would usually make me roll my eyes and ignore it, I've heard too many things in this direction to be able to ignore it. Facebook after Christmas was flooded with little brats whining about getting the wrong color Apple phone. It's terrible, the way kids these days feel like they deserve expensive things. If I ever have kids, they'll be grateful for what they get and if they whine about it, they get it taken away, given to charity, and don't get a replacement for it until they can buy it with their own money. I'm not kidding.

I do think that kids are spoiled these days and it's the parents fault.

Parents didn't grow up with much so it's conditioned them to get their kids what the parents couldn't have when they were growing up. Also many parents aren't available to their kids, like just a few decades ago, so the parents try to buy their kids' love and use expensive gifts as a sort of substitute for the time and support the parents are not able to provide from working so much.

You want to know what I had when I was a kid? A Sega and a Nintendo. Even though cell phones weren't readily accessible to the average person in the 90's, I still think my mom wouldn't have bought me one even though she was at work for most of the day. I had to wait to have my first cell until I could afford to buy it myself.

And iPads and iPhones and all that? Status symbols. There are twenty dollar pre-paid cells at Wal-mart with double minutes for the life of the phone. I have one and I have over ten hours of minutes on it that I will never use.

Kids are just spoiled and parents need to stop spoiling them.

I hate when people are like this. They don't even know the meaning of Christmas or whatever they celebrate anymore. They don't appreciate what they got and aren't grateful for what they have. I'm grateful that I got what I got, but the season is a time of giving and they need to learn to give back.

While cruising failblog, I found quite an interesting story where a grandmother had bought her grandson a PS3... but when he went to church and complained about a gift he got from there, the grandmother told him he was not getting his PS3.

http://cheezburger.com/6916201984

Though I could use some details on how badly the child acted... I give a thumbs up to the grandmother. Some people think it was too harsh or blames the child's behavior on the parents/grandmother, but I think it is justified and a good step to make the child less bratty.

My parents did spoil my sister and I with gifts on Christmas... to a point. They would generally try to get everything on our list IF we actually were good that year. One year I was acting like a brat, so they MOSTLY gave me what no child wants for Christmas: clothes. They then waited to see how I reacted, and after I threw a tantrum, they explained maybe Santa did not like how I been this year. When I said sorry, they "happened" to find a few other gifts and I got a few of the things I wanted.

I'm not touching this simply they just haven't had a hard life to me I'm ecstatic I got a movie I like and a shirt that's awesome.  To gripe over gifts most kids are getting today is just dumb founding.
