Going out on a limb here, hohman. ._.; Even when I'm on a horrible, awful, terrible slump, I can not resist the urge to whore my bits and pieces out. And they are bits and pieces, because I can never ever finish ANYTHING ever, and if I do it's holy crap a miracle. But, here we are now; most of the stuff I put up here will likely be older works because I kid you not when I say I'm eyes-deep in a muddy slump.

We'll have enough rambling out of me, however, and here we go~!



I can't actually remember how long it took me to get to this point on this picture, but it was a very long time. For those still reading, this is a boy. Despite girly shoulder posture and pretty face, it's a boy. Some of my men have kind of girly faces. ._. And for some reason it's always the ones I actually deign to draw. I've been intending to put color into this picture since before Christmas of last year, but I've been a lazy, unmotivated blob, and emo-haired goth boy has been stuck pretty much at this point for... probably over half a year by now. ...Now that I look it over again, it feels like his eye is still too high, despite how much I've lowered it. =_=; Dammit. On top of that, his ponytail looks too flat. D:

Your drawing is very good, I agree he is very effeminate, though if that is the intention then thats the point isn't it.
The eye looks fine to me, but I'm no expert so meh

Thank you. Yes, the avatar is also mine. That one's a little more recent than goth-boy up there. This style is primarily it, I'll admit, but it seems to be evolving every single time I draw lately, so things keep changing around. Media-wise, I mainly do pencil drawings, but I dabble a little into charcoal on occasion. Perhaps if I finish any of those works I can put it up.

I've been out of the art scene for a while now, so my input is likely rubbish, but I think maybe the eye problem your having is really due to the nose being a bit too low.

Overall nice style. Way flamboyant, but I think that's more of a compliment to you. Keep it up

Hilariously, the nose probably looks too low because it's placed for a downwardly-angled head. n_n; My art is riddled with notoriously long faces, but Kei (goth-boy) here is not draconic like most of the people I draw.

n_n I do a lot of writing and role-playing, so most of my pictures have some sort of backstory to them. I've tried drawing comics/manga before, but I never get very far. =/ I have that terrible disease where I start things and then never finish them. For example, see below:


This woman, Eolisenne, has been drawn probably a year or so longer than Kei has, but as you can see, she's missing a hand, and has been like that for AGES. It's partly because I have trouble with hands (and I really do. ), but usually I can muster up the will to spend a whole day getting that last detail in there.

And now because I can't not be an OCD-tastic buttface, I'm going to have to point bits out about it. ._.; She's a hybrid of two different races, one of which has a strain with an elongated face. The same one with the elongated face also grants her equine legs, and I picked a bad angle to try and draw that at. D: I also do not actually know how cloth works. And I've only just realized she's amazingly lanky. ._o

But, yeah. I have null-impetic syndrome. It'll show more as I post more works.

Thanks. Wouldn't it be great if I did? I can never get the serious stuff done, but get me started on something moderately goofy and it'll probably be finished within the day that I started it. Collaborative works are also likely to be finished, though probably not because I finish them. ._.;

Thinking of goofy and collab, I have this silly little thing here that I did with a friend a couple years ago.

Mine are the three simpler, and slightly cleaner ones. It needs a little context, which hopefully I can offer without writing a whole page of mindless blabber. ._.;

Context: The second fellow on the left is a human. The two all the way on the right are extremely powerful individuals, and all kinds of arcane terror happens when one is sober (the one on the left), or the other is entirely off-his-arse drunk (the one on the right). At the moment everyone is sober.

I usually do have more to add, but I just can't get myself to do it because I'm a lazy jerkface. ._.; And thank you. n_n I appreciate the same, though for some reason not very many people feel inclined to comment. ._. I attribute it to a funny curse, but enough about that.

Here's another slightly older work of mine, also incomplete, but closer to being done than most of the other stuff I will end up posting in here.

It's... almost a year old by now, and one of the few I used a reference for. I spent months getting it to this point, and unfortunately the way the membranous wings lie are where I'm stuck. T_T; Only when I figure out what the one in the front is doing will the rest of him finally move on from basic frame and hair wisps.

...On another note, I hate his thumb. ._.

i like it, it's damn good in my opinion

but i have just one problem with the back of the character right next to the protruding feathered wing it looks kind of like a hump but i may just be perceiving it wrong

as for the wing, judging by the fact that the blood is sliding down on the wing suggests that it's resting on the body and the inside joint wing should be folded a little bit more to show that when it stretches it won't be too tight but then again i may just be seeing it wrong

Oh, I know. His back does look funny. I've looked back on that multiple times, but when I compare it to the reference photo, it's right. It probably doesn't help that his wing is eating up the majority of the front of his profile. The blood that you see running down said wing is from the base of the membrane attached to his back. It's a little hard to see where the base ends and the span begins without color, especially when there's crap on top of it.

What's probably going to happen is that the pinky equivalent in the wing there, which I started to draw, but stopped, will probably be re-angled to be more parallel with whatever surface Iaeruki (the character there) is kneeled on. I feel like it ought to be a bit slumped, like he's in too much pain to lift it, since I'm sure those feathered wings tearing out of his back sure do hurt a butt-ton. ._.;

Also, thanks. n_n Talking about these things helps a lot. The same goes for when I get stuck in writing.

Here's a more recent sketch I did--funny enough it's of the same man, and I am impossibly angry at myself for having done it in a notebook. I've outlined it, but the lineart looks like arse by comparison to this one, even after the notebook lines and erase marks were cleaned up.

I did this one, I think, in December. I've been meaning to turn it into an avatar ever since, but my outlining skills went to crap during this recent, very long slump, so that's become a much bigger project than I first anticipated. I can only imagine what coloring is going to be like; I haven't done that in a good two and a half to three years.

I'll be the first to admit that despite the fact I definitely called this one a man, Iaeruki is probably ridiculously pretty enough that he looks kinda womanly. ...I blame his eyes. Maybe his hair. But mostly his eyes. He's even older in this picture than I usually draw him, and he still has a hard time pulling off manly. It's okay. He gets it from his grandmum.

Two major things wrong with it: his teeth are at the wrong incline to the angle of his jaw (I'll likely fix that in the next outlining attempts), and his ear is probably a little too forward (I'm not quite sure how I'll pull it back just yet).

One minor thing: his left eyebrow needs to be upturned too. > : |

I really liked the very first one... although I think I'm a sucker for the one eye looking out from between a bunch of hair... it just looks neat.
