So here I am, sitting at work, and I get hungry. So I pull up the Pizza Hut menu and decide, hey, I'll try the wings. I've never had them before, ever in my life, but people seem to be crazy about them. So I order them and some bread-sticks. I got 8, figuring that'd be more than enough with the bread-sticks...

Nope. One bite a piece, and not even satisfying bites. Kind of rubbery. And the sauce-why do people want to burn their lips off? I ordered mild, but I can still feel it tingling on my lips.

Big mess, lots of bones, very little meat, nasty skin...so tell me people. Why do people love these things so much?

I think people mainly like wings because they're finger food and they can easily be drenched in hot sauce and burn their tongues off. People have an obsession with fire. That's all it really is.

They're not quality pieces of the chicken. Mostly bone and hard bone to eat around... at least with a drumstick, it's one bone in the center that you can eat around, but two that you have to dig out meat between.

For me, I just eat chicken breasts. No bones, all white meat. Best stuff you can get off the bird.

Oh man, I don't have an obsession with fire, but I ADORE hot wings. OF course, when I say hot wings though, I don't mean JUST wings.  I've never heard the other pieces called 'hot legs' or such, so ...... Well I'm sure you get the picture.  LOL

Most people find it weird since I'm a girl and all, but the hotter, the better!  This may have been due to the fact that my dad practically raised us girls off the stuff, but I want to drench everything in hot sauce.

Wings though, are so perfect.  Like Crazy Li said, it's a finger food.  It's messy, and it's tantalizing to the tongue.  Not to mention that the moist meat coated in hot sauce is.... TO DIE for.

IF it's done right.  See, that's the problem.  The bones in wings ARE annoying.  Hot wings HAVE gotten way, way, way to small by just about any food company/ restaurant.  And most places do NOT take quality into mind when they cook the chicken to begin with.

This is why I suggest making your own.  ^.^  Cook the chicken wings and legs how you want them.  Get a small container (like a large yogurt container or something) and fill it with hot sauce.  Drop the chicken in, SECURELY close the container, and shake!  Somehow get the wing out, and enjoy.

That, or you could go to some place like Buffalo Wild Wings.  ^.^  Their quality has gone down the toilets too but at least you can get boneless wings there with about a billion sauce choices of varying degrees of hotness.  And their sauces are fantastic, too.

Yeah, I usually get the chicken breasts. I love white meat, and there's lots of meat on those things.

I dunno. I might have to try that; it has to be better than those nasty things I ate from Pizza Hut. I'll have to pass on the hot sauce though; I really don't like hot things. Maybe a nice honey bbq? They sell chicken legs by the bag at the grocery store, I've noticed. Cheap too. Unless you can suggest a hot sauce that's not super hot (A little tingle is alright, just not a burning painful sensation.)

Buffalo Wild Wings has all kind of sauces, and most of them aren't even hot sauce!  For example, they have parmesan garlic, which is probably my favorite of their non- spciy flavors.

Their sauces are amazing and burst with flavor.  However, last few times I went, they were hardly using any sauce on their wings any more. 
So I sometimes just buy their sauce by the bottle. XD

Lol! I seriously laughed out loud when I saw the title. It is so true that those things are far too small to do any good. Before I became a vegetarian, I loved hot wings, but they don't do much toward satisfying. More like empty calories to me. As my cousin put it, the amount of meat you get from them is "just enough to make you mad". So true. But I was still addicted to them for some odd reason.

the only chicken i like are the nugget ones, the roasted chests, and the fried chests. that all. wing ................ i never even bother to order one.  i like sauce a lot. there sweet and sour, and hot, and tomatoish, ranch, french sauce for lettuce (thats what got me tolove lettuce), barbecue sauce, mustard, pickle sauce.

I like wings enough but I find that they're a mean trick. People are always advertising Family Deal on wings! 10 whole wings! So you order and you're like, well, I'm eating to get full so I'll take 4 family packs of wings. Aw hell, make it five in case someone else wants one.

Then you sit on your couch with your own personal chicken graveyard strewn all over your coffee table, start crying, and mutter "Those two tablespoons of meat I was able to salvage are going straight to my ass..."
