Okay, well, here's my first review of a game ever! Yippee! Ahem, anyway, as any Nintendo fan can tell you, the Legend of Zelda series is easily one of, if not THE, most addictive and deep gaming series ever! This doesn't fall short in any of the games. Ocarina of Time is no exception, as you shall soon hear. Considering the game is for the Nintendo 64 gaming console, it's obvious the game is going to have great graphics. In a nutshell, it's the first game from the Legend of Zelda series that NAILED 3D graphics. That there is a solid ten! The sound is not just good. The sound is AMAZING! The music in Nintendo games is considered legendary in its own right. Legend of Zelda is included in this category, of course. Every Zelda game has its selection of music. From Link to the Past to Skyward Sword. Each one has the music we know and love. Ocarina of Time is obviously included in this category. The music in Kokiri Village all the way to the peak of the tallest mountain is astounding. It's impossible not to love the music. Another ten from me! In the area of addiction to the game, there is no fault. If you're like me, you don't drop something in the middle and never come back to it. Even if it's the worst game or whatever you're doing in the world, you won't stop until you see the ending. That aside, I can still tell when a game will call me back for more, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will call you back over and over and over again. It doesn't matter who you are. You can even be like my cousin and never come back to something once you finish it, and still come back for more! TEN! The story is similar to every other Zelda game, so I had to dock points for that. Although Ocarina of Time, like all the others, has the details that separate it from the other games, so I still gave it a high rating. As for the main story line, GORGEOUS! I LOVED IT! You will love it too! I promise! I give story a nine! As for depth... I'm incredibly proud to say on Nintendo's behalf, that this is one of the biggest worlds within gaming history! Not too big, with normal sized areas that are simple and challenging to all of the people in the gaming population. Not too small, with vast areas that take time to progress through, while outside a building or town you can watch the day turn to night and the night turn to day. The enemies you face throughout the world are as unique as they are dangerous. From the gruntiest of the grunts to the bossiest of the bosses, the enemies and bosses add a depth that the adventure itself can't quite reach. Although the adventure itself is more than enough to reach ten on its own, in my opinion, the enemies bring it up even more! I wish the scale didn't stop at ten, because this could easily be higher than that. But, seeing as ten is the limit, I give depth a score of ten. The game itself is not difficult to get through, but some enemies can take practice to defeat, and some puzzles are frustrating enough to make you scream. It is this counterbalance that made me rate difficulty at a five. Right in the middle. Overall, it would definitely be at least an eight, but considering my love for all things Nintendo, and my even greater love for all things Zelda, this brings it up by at least one point. The final point is secured by the unique events throughout the game. Now that sums up my review right there. A final score of ten points! Now come with me and escape into the land of Hyrule!
