Origin: Kiryubei was designed in my physics class out of boredom. I had been role playing a Joshua Kiryu (the world ends with you) with a Vanitas (Kingdom Hearts BBS) when the Vanitas role player had a magic spell cast on him that turned him into a 'magical girl' for the rest of the night. And obviously all puella magi need a contractee, so Kiryubei was born.

For those unfamiliar, pmmm (puella magi madoka magica) is a dark 13 episode series in which incubators make contracts with teens and change them into puella magi to fight witches. The magical girls get any 1 wish, however they are doomed to a life of despair upon accepting the contract (not that they know. Details. Incubators leave them out.)

Incubators are cute cat like creatures that make a person legit trade their soul for a wish.

So here is Kiryubei, a demon seed horror show disguised as cute.

Did I mention I role play with this little devil? Yeah. The scene above? Him and his first soul he managed to get to agree to pact with him.

Anyway here is a little drabble piece of Kiryubei's story. It'll really only make sense if you have a general understanding of PMMM but oh well.

Running, running, running…that was all he could do. Now that he was a ‘glitch’ in the system, he wasn’t useful. He was breaking code. He wasn’t working towards optimum output. All of his contracts were over. Kyubey had made sure of that. Once he started showing signs of disease, the other incubator had started taking over his magical girls. Ever since he contracted that disease all the humans seem to have - the mental illness called emotion.
Kiryubei shook his head, ears flicking backwards as he sat on top of a graffiti wall in the darkness of an alleyway in Shibuya. He reflected on the events of the past few months…
At first it had been subtle. He had theorized the strange sensations in his mind had been remnants from fusion with the humans. Now that the remnants had begun to pile up… the process had afflicted him with a minor case of ‘emotion’ and he couldn’t figure out how to get rid of it.
Neither could Kyubey.
Everything was fine, even with this illness, until something inside Kiryubei made him step into a fight and purify one of the soul gems of his magical girls. She would have released plenty of energy and made a fine grief seed… Kyubey hadn’t been too pleased he had interrupted the natural process, and he himself couldn’t understand why he stepped in either. But Kyubey knew right then and there that he was becoming detrimental to their goal. Thus his running started. After all, he only had so many spare bodies…
Kiryubei let out a soft sigh as he stood up and walked along the wall, thick fluffy tail flowing behind him. He needed to find someone who would form a pact with him and help keep Kyubey’s magical girls from killing his bodies again. So far all of his attempts had perished far too easily… He needed someone with high potential Kyubey hadn’t reached yet…someone who wouldn’t die like his other attempts to build a human wall. Maybe he should even work on building a small collection of them. Sure, by keeping their souls pure his whole purpose of collecting energy would essentially be tossed out the window, but he no longer cared. Let the other incubators focus on the entropy problem.
He paused and perked his ears. A song…and a powerful one at that. The potential in his sound of the soul was quite powerful… had Kyubey missed someone? A quick glance downward revealed orange hair and purple headphones staring at the graffiti. A young boy….Kiryubei was about to leave but froze in his tracks. Wait a minute. Of course. THAT was the answer. Kyubey didn’t contract with boys. Boys weren’t good for contracts since their energy output was low compared to young girls… but for an incubator who had abandoned energy collection…
A smile spread on Kiryubei’s face as he leapt down from the wall and approached Neku Sakuraba - the boy who’s soul sang.

OKAY anyway one last thing to share, I was just being dumb and clicking those random generator things, one of which was a 'type in your name and get a message from a secret admirer' or something, so I put in Kiryubei in and I got something along the lines of 'your creepy moe is disgusting'...which made me laugh since Kiryubei is essentially a cat creature and not moe at all....so I drew him moe as a reply XD
Then it all went down hill from there because I kept drawing him...Also he apparently can't dress himself.



  

NOTE:   I BEGAN TO RP WITH A XEMNAS WHO BASICALLY STARTED YELLING AT HIM FOR NOT WEARING PANTS. THUS THE FOLLOWING IMAGES. Xemnas tried to explain why he should wear pants. Kiryubei still doesn't see the point and notes his tail gets in the way, so screw pants.
