Hey guys!

Do you remember some dreams you had someday? Dreams that were funny, weird, scary or special in another way?
Or maybe just boring.

Well, I do. For example, my scariest dream I had when I was young (I was maybe 10 years old), was that someone came into my house and killed me and my family. Another scary dream was something with vampires and a laboratory, though I don't remember much of it.
Oh, and I had lots of dreams, in which I was falling from a high place and woke up exactly in the moment when I would hit the ground. (Yeah, I think the one with the falling does a lot of people had in their childhood.)

I've read, when you become older, you will forget the most of your dreams, that you had. Because dreams come in every sleep, but most of the time you can't say what you dreamed on the next day. That is a bit sad, because I think a lot of them are very interesting to remember. If you still can remember some of your dreams, let's put them together here.

I used to have a reoccurring dream when I was younger.  I'd be in the backseat of a car, and the car would be driving itself and I wouldn't be able to take control of the wheel.  I'd be helpless, and the car would be all over the place.  Years later, I recognized that it was probably a dream about feeling dis-empowered, or not in control of my life.   As I don't feel like that these days, I haven't had that dream for many many years.  I think your dreams are generally your way of processing issues in your life.

FredElliot : Yeah, I think so too. There are often hidden messages in the dreams of how you're feeling in your life. Sometimes, you don't even notice it by yourself and dreams are helping processing issues in your subconscious mind. Interesting dream you had.

I want to read something funny or weird now. It's not only about nightmares. I remember when my sister told me about her dream. There was her favorite band who jumped to reach flying fish sticks (her favorite food to this time). Man, that's just so weird.

I remember a couple of the recurring dreams I used to have when I was younger. My recurring dreams usually scared me, even if in retrospect there was nothing to fear. My earliest dream on memory is venturing into my parents' room in the middle of the night and the person that rolls over in bed is... Barney, the big purple dino! I would jump, scream, and wake up. Always scared the **it out of me as a kid, no idea why.

Another dream had something to do with Slappy the Dummy from Goosebumps. Of course, none of us really know why Goosebumps was scary when looking back at the cheesiness, right? lol I remember being with a group of kids (not friends I recognized) and wondering through some old mansion or something. The lighting was always dark and greenish. That's all I remember; that, and thinking that Slappy was in the building.

There have been MANY other instances where, when I awake, I swear there was something familiar about the dream that I'd dreamed before. Sometimes even whilst IN a dream I swear I have had a similar dream, or aspects/characters in the dream are the same. I can't really pin-point what's familiar, but in the dream and after it, I swear I have dreamed it before. Weird, huh?

Well, in any case, that's the only way I have 'recurring' dreams anymore, and even those feeling only happen once in a blue moon now. I'd rather not type/relive the scariest dream of my life (though now I'm thinking about it anyways...) so I'll just leave it at that for now. I DO actually remember some "Good" dreams, but funny how those only seem to last a few seconds.

I recorded allot of my similar reoccurring dreams in a log book for many years. I purchased allot of dream interpretation books to sort them out. (Its a fun distraction.) I had allot of action packed dreams when I was younger. Now most of them are boring. But every now and again I get a repeat Adventure that demands my attention. I am currently having a repeating dream of a flying pyramid. Inside I face a maze and battle Nazis and unlock a large gem that cancels the flight and sends the structure in a free fall when removing it from its resting place. The escape is confounded by the weightlessness produced by the free fall and I barely make it out alive when the thing crashes in the middle of a desert.
Its a wonderful bedtime story Id like to tell when I figure out a suitable moral. (Might make a good intro to a game too.)
Anyway, most of our dreams are about our waking reality covered in the guise of random gibberish that our brains are too tired to bother sorting out in a sensible manner. I normally dream about work and the challenge of making progress with an extremely competitive lot.
The action and large scale, attention grabbing aspects are there mostly due to being a male. (According to the books I stumbled on. ) Some folks like "Past Life" ideas. I have yet to find this occurrence to produce any constant sense.(The list of characters I've seen in the mirrors within my dreams have been as large and detailed as an "RPG cast".) I hope I answered the "Threads Creator" adequately with this reply.                                                                 Thank You. "Peace and Good Luck to ALL".

I have an odd reoccurring dream where I awaken in a white void with no walls, no ceiling, and no floor.  Absolutely nothing.  Despite the fact that there isn't anything physical to stand on, I'm somehow standing anyways.  There's a fog around me, but the atmosphere doesn't feel foggy or misty, just normal.  I'm approached by a copy of myself, who takes a seat on what appears to be thin air, and motions for me to do the same.  I sit, and to my surprise find myself actually coming into contact with something that feels like a luxurious, comfortable armchair.  When I look down, however, there is still nothing beneath me.  The copy of myself and I start up a conversation, and discuss many things.  It's usually me just asking him questions, most of which he immediately knows the answer to.  The entire time, I'm very aware that I'm in a dream, and after some research I believe this is a rare form of lucid dream in which I am able to speak to my subconscious.  It's very interesting, and tends to shed light on the way I think about a lot of things and why I think that way.  Cool stuff. I would suggest everyone here put some effort into learning how to lucid dream, that was they can possibly experience the same thing, or something similar.  I just get lucky with it, not entirely sure why it happens the way it does.  It's an experience unlike any you've ever had, and you could learn a lot about yourself from it.
