I watch it in whatever I can get it in, I usually prefer the original text without subtitles seeing as I can barely understand it, But I'm not picky what-so-ever, The point of the show is the story right? Unless it's something like they pulled with One Piece which was kinda..... Yeah.... Let's not go there right now, Time and place.

But to sum this all up, I don't care, Either way I'll still enjoy the show, I don't care if the text quality is changed too much and I can live with it if it is changed alot. Enjoy your time, You only get so much.

I would prefer it in English. If I had to use subtitles, it would be no good for me. In a lot of animes that I have watched, characters tend to talk really fast. And if they were speaking another language and I had to read the subs, they would probably go by way too fast for me, and I would eventually have no idea what is going on. I am American, I live in the United States...English please!

It depends on the anime, and how I have been watching. Like with Bleach, it has to be in English. But Naruto? That one has to be English Dubbed. It really depends.

It depends on the situation. If it's normal anime that's intended for all ages, I will refuse to watch unless I can get English. With things that are focused entirely on comedy to the point that it's only available within Japan, subtitles are fine. For the kind of anime that some people would tie me up and whip me for watching, sometimes I find English dubs, sometimes I find subtitles, sometimes it's just standalone Japanese dialogue; not that in such a situation that you think I would care. But then again, I like things with actual plots compared to a simple "suck and ****"-type anime. ...it's also very lucky that many games with anime art style are actually done properly in English, because I love those too. A lot of the time I just exploit camera glitches or simply get distracted away from the actual gameplay, whether it be slicing up monsters (Hyperdimension Neptunia), enslaving monsters (Mugen Souls), or singing and dancing (the upcoming Project Diva F).

I personally enjoy the original Japanese versions with English subtitles. It just looks better when their mouths look like they are saying what you hear.

Personally, I like being able to hear the English but I will and have watched anime in Japanese. I can't sit around waiting for the English dub to come out so I watch it anyway.

Depends on the anime, really.
If the anime is really plot-heavy, I'll have to go with English subtitles. I'd rather have the original context.
If the anime is slice-of-life (eg. Nichijou, Lucky Star etc.), I'd like English dubs.
The (somewhat) only exception is Shin-chan though. I usually like it with subs, although I do like how Funimation is treating it with the dub.
An exception is also if the anime has been long-running for awhile and there's no available dubs.

I tend to watch all my anime subbed.  I love hearing the Japanese voices.  I do watch some subbed, but if its something I'm really into, dubbed all day.  Shows like Hellsing, Black butler, One piece, Sword Art online, .Hack, death note, Code Geass, XXXHolic, and many more(I just don't feel like naming them all), I watch Dubbed.    But there are shows I prefer to watch subbed.

I prefer anime in subtitles not in English because in English anime characters voices sound awkward and when they pronounce Japanese names it sound just weird and I like subtitles because it sound more natural for the voices to be in Japanese and it helps my vocabulary because I read the words.

TrollStoneProduction :I sometimes like Japanese anime with English subtitles, but I like English anime most of the time. Studio Ghibli makes amazing anime in Japanese and in English. (Ghibli films are movies though) Ghibli took away my respect for Japanese anime, I'll say that. xD
But sometimes, I prefer Japanese anime, because it's funny to hear.

If it is an older anime or a completed series, then I'll go for the dub because they are easier to find. If it's a newer or ongoing series I watch the sub because there's usually not a dub out and since I'm learning Japanese I like to hear the language.

Personally, I prefer subbed compared to dubbed anime. Though I do like the dubbed voices for some anime over subbed, for the majority I will watch them in subbed. I'm pretty fast at reading when I want to be so it's not a bother most of the time and when it is too fast I just replay it. Also I like reading the subtitles for the opening and ending songs of anime so that's another reason I usually choose subbed over dubbed.

I prefer dub. I have a hard time focusing on subtitles and what's going on at the same time. I find myself pausing every few minutes and going back to read the text again and it takes a lot longer to get through an anime that way.
My friends swear practice will make it easier but I'd rather not have the fuss. Unless it's a very good anime and not available in English (like MM), I either will not watch it or will watch the dub if available.

Oh.. I can't stand Naruto in Japanese... Sakura's voice actress makes me cringe. I've tried... that was my first sub. It was horrifying to hear Sakura after hearing her in English. The dub toned down Sakura's obsession with Sasuke a bit and gave her a less annoying voice. Still hate her, but I can listen to her. Just felt like sharing that bit.

I prefer subbed anime, it's so much better when you hear the real voice actors! I think the only anime that's okay dubbed is Elfen Lied ^^

I prefer my anime to be English dubbed. I know a lot of people are going to scold me for this however I don't care. Its a personal preference for me about me preferring to watch a show in my own native language. I do however tolerate subtitles whenever there is an anime I want to see and there is no English dub for it.
