Do we need to redesign the vizzed front page?

what design would you choose?

The current blue some have said in a forum is looking a little tired and perhaps, while it is 'our brand' as it is familiar we could experiment with a few different colours, or for the cost of a donation sponsor a different design.

I would like to see orange maybe not permanently but for a day or so, I would be willing to make a donation for this.

Do you think this would be a good fundraiser for Vizzed also.

Of course a redesign does not have to be about making donations, this was just a suggestion to get you to comment and generate your own ideas.

I like it the way it is. Maybe a change can be thought about when the website crosses a certain milestone (views, members, etc). But overall I like it cause its a really sharp blue.

I think it should change if there is a staff member or a user above a "normal user's" level/power on Vizzed's community birthday or something like that. Like Davideo7 PMs them asking what color they want and it's like that for 1 day.

i like it the way it is, I haven't been on vizzed for too long, but I've gone quite fond of the background. It isn't too bright that you get a headache, or too dark that you can't see anything.

I think the color is fine, but maybe some kind of new design or a change in the layout. I've been coming to this site for close to two years now, although i'm not the most active member, and in that whole time the site has remained the same. I do like how they've stuck by who they are, but perhaps some little changes here and there would help keep the site from seeming old/outdated.

I have no complaints about the color. Blue is an awesome color

I really wouldn't wanna see the site change color... especially not to something like orange >.>

No offense to people who like orange, but it is a color that is easy to make into an eyesore. There are only so many shades of it you can use that won't just hurt to look at which makes basing an entire site theme around that color a bad idea.

It wouldn't be a terrible to have multiple skins for the site though like most forums offer. What would be even better is if there was a way to have members submit their skin ideas for a contest and maybe the top 3 or so could get added and the people who submitted the top 3 would win some Viz as a prize.

You could change the colors in "Edit Profile & Settings". There is a Christmas color scheme there. But I agree ultimately with Crazy Li, blue is the best color in the universe. With that being said, I don't think nothing should be changed either. Maybe the green words could be changed. What I am wondering though is how do you change the colors on your profile page...

I like the site's current dark blue colors.  I think an orange theme might be abrasive on my eyes, but I could be wrong if a dark enough shade were used.  I do respectfully feel that the overall layout is a bit busy, and could benefit from more organization and intuitive navigation, if a redesign discussion is in the air. 

That said, I also have never had so much fun on one site, so... you folks definitely have a winner!

I think it would be a cool idea if the user can customize the colors to the way they like it. For example, I could change the window bars Red and the window translucence to Orange. This would take up a lot of time and coding to accomplish though.
