This is another great pokemon game developed by Hadson Soft and published by the coolest company Nintendo . This was first released in Japan with a different title / name , it was called the Pokemon Card GB in the month of December 1998 , and had an english translated version released in North America in the month of April 2000 and also in Europe in December 2000 . Here , the character you are controlling is not Red any more , his original name was Mark . Mark must travel all around the game world while battling other players using a deck containing 60 cards each . To complete the game you should defeat all the 8 different club masters with different deck types representing their own club and deck types .If you successfully defeat all the club masters , you get to challenge the powerful Grand masters and earn the right to possess all the Legendary Cards .There are a total of 226 different cards inside the game that you should collect.
I know that every one / every body that love or likes pokemon have pokemon card , some still have them on there shoe box hidden on their closet , others gave them to an acquaintance or some close friends , and maybe others sold them on eBay or on a garage sale or some thing , but only few got the chance to learn how to play . I know that it is quite more difficult to understand if you play them using real cards , having real and live battles with your friends or your real life pokemon rivals . But if you learn how to play , it's quite fun .Some others don't play them but only collect them .
8 / 10 Graphics : The graphics of this game is great if you compare it to other pokemon games with the same consoles ( The GBC ) . You can still see some extra pixels on the characters of the game . But other than that , it was great . Here , I will give a score which is 8 / 10 .. I can't really explain why I gave that 8 but I think this game really deserves an 8 in the Graphics category .
7 / 10 Sounds : The sound was great , there is a different tune in ever place same with the club leader and master battles . Your wondering why I only scored 7 right ? Well , I scored 7 because I really hate the tunes even though they are all unique and different . And that beeping sound that I hear has horrible . At the half of my game play , I turned the volume down because of that .
5 / 10 Addictiveness : I'm the king of person that rates randomly in between . I rated this because I really didn't like it that much but liked it at some point of the game . But maybe someday I will play this game again to collect all of the cards and complete my master deck . But I really don't want to play this game again if you ask me . An that's just it !
7 / 10 Story : In some strange reason , I just don't think the game has any story line that you should follow . You can pick the next gym club that you want to battle . I think if they arrange it from the easiest to the most difficult , I would rate higher . Other than that , I think the in-game story is quite interesting for me.
10 / 10 Depth : It really took me a long time to finish this ( It was so long , I never sleep that day just to finish it ) . If you are planning to collect all of the 226 cards in the game , I think it will take you a week or two to finish it .
9 / 10 Difficulty : The fact that you can pick which club leader you want to battle first doesn't change the other fact that you still have to bettle the others . I mean if you don't want to battle the water club because the club leader is very strong you still have to battle it in some time of your game play . So for me , the game difficulty is at a really high level !! That high it reached heaven !
8 / 10 Overall : Overall , the Pokemon Trading Card Game it self doesn't seem to attract me . I think it is because of it being quite old .But other than that , I don't like collection 226 piece of papers . I like the Role Playing Game type of pokemon if you ask me .
