I've been wanting/trying to learn Japanese for a while now, and although I don't practise regularly, I still find languages incredibly interesting.
And now to my question, have you ever played a Japanese game (un translated) which have helped your cognitive understanding of the language. I've tried playing a few, but the Kanji keep pissing me off since I only know about a hundred of the most basic ones, and probably even less than that. (I knew about a 100 when I read Japanese in High School... and now I have probably forgot most of them.)
And with basic, I mean things like 'person, fire, river, eye, mouth' and the numbers.
I played the Pokémon Trading Card Game 2, un translated, because people keep saying to play Pokémon because it's a 'simple' game without Kanji, but that didn't apply to this one.
I'd like to play Anpanman, though, and the 'Tomodachi' for GBA or DS, I forgot which platform it's on...
