My fav anime is Afro Samurai. Its a interesting blend of authentic samurai mixed with a sci fi modern feel e.g. Mobile phones, robots and weaponry. The artwork is quite nice and the story is fun.

I seen unlimited before, its not bad, but my favorite anime hands down without a doubt is Code Geass. Lelouch and Suzaku are both bad ass, but Lelouch is like the best character ever invented. I wont get into the plot much but pretty much a former prince is attempting to destroy his former family empire and he acquires a strange power to do so. I highly recommend if you are into anime, i would consider it as bad as not knowing what Princess Mononoke is =o

Yeah, because writing peoples names in notebooks in order to kill them is part of my everyday life.

I have no real favorite, hard to place on there, but robot animes are one of the best genres, because of the manly.

Well this was a really hard choice for me. I love all anime. Well most anime anyway. I'm definatly not a fan of One Piece. I know I'm probably going to get hated on for that but it's true. My favorite though would probably have to be Ouran High school Host Club. I just really liked the story behind why each charactor was in the host club. It also has a decent story line. The characters are all well thought out and I'm also just one of those silly yaoi fangirls. If it wasn't for OHSHC my favorite would probaly be loveless cause it's so Kawaii! Lol. I know I'm a bit insane.>.<

You want manly?

Watch Fist of the North Star. It's about a man in a post-apocalyptic world who makes people explode USING ONLY HIS FISTS.

The story is amazingly well written, but the animation isn't so great. I recommend it if you can get over how old it looks.

I liked Death Note too.... the story was totally unique from any other anime I've seen before. Not that I've watched tons... but it's more complicated than just fight fight, power up, fight fight .

Do we have to only pick one? Is that even possible?!

Screw it. I don't see any rules for that here, so I'll give you my top 3, lol.

#1: Legend of the Galactic Heroes (80's series)

Reason: This is THE best (which is saying something by the way..seeing as I've been watching anime for over 10 years) series I have ever seen. It has a really gripping story with a Sci-Fi setting, so outside of story, you get to see great space battles with warships, fighter planes, etc.

Not to mention, the animation is simply brilliant. Every little hole on the ship was hand drawn and all of the detail for every soldier is extraordinary as well. Nothing short of a masterpiece in this regard.

The music is very befitting as well. The music used is mainly classical and the series also won an award for most voice actors ever in an animation series with having over 100 as part of the cast. Even the guys you only see for a couple of seconds have names and a voice! How crazy is that?!

Not to mention, the series is over 100 episodes long (main story is 110, then you get sidestories which backtrack and tell you stuff prior to the main story. Very awesome). There is a lot of talking in the series though, so this tends to turn a lot of potential viewers away, but if you love a great story, animation, music, Sci-Fi, and action, then this one is definitely for you.

#2: City Hunter (80's series)

Reason: At first, City Hunter seems like it is just a ripoff of the old Golgo 13 series which began in the 60's. The story revolves around the main, Ryo Saeba, taking assignments from others (a professional hitman, basically). The only real difference between Golgo 13 and City Hunter is that City Hunter contains comedy while Golgo 13 takes a more serious approach.

The series definitely has a lot of things to offer though. You've got drama, action, comedy, and some ecchi too. The main, Ryo Saeba, while he may be serious at times, he's usually a laidback guy who loves chasing skirts.

What makes this even more hilarious is if you have seen Hokuto no Ken because the voice actor for Ryo Saeba is the same as the one which was used for Kenshiro, lol. The music for the series has to be one of the highest points though. It gives you a very great feel for the atmosphere since it takes place in modern day Japan (which was the 80's back then ).

The animation was also very detailed, which I seem to notice the more I watch 80's anime. The story can be a little awkward to follow since, well..while there IS something developing, it feels hard to follow because it's just about a guy taking random jobs. So if you look at it on the surface, you'd probably ask yourself, "How can watching someone take job after job be interesting?". All I can really say is, I don't blame you for thinking that, but it is interesting the way they present it.

So, if someone is looking for some action where the main is wielding a .357 Magnum in an 80's anime (which is 100+ episodes) while having some comedy of hearing Kenshiro's VA while chasing skirts, I would definitely recommend watching this one, lol. It just really cracks me up any time I watch it, plus it has its serious moments to, so I think there's a little something in City Hunter for every anime fan, honestly (unless you just dislike 80's animation that is).

#3: Hokuto no Ken/Fist of the North Star (80's series)

Reason: Oh boy, where do I begin? Well, Hokuto no Ken certainly deserves to be in my top 3. The amount of detail put in this series is overwhelming at times.

The series focuses on a man set in a post-apocalyptic era (think Mad Max) who uses a deadly martial art known as, "Hokuto Shinken" which is the art of hitting pressure points on someone's body and making them do specific actions (most of the time, it usually involves making that person explode, but can also be used to force the person to talk and has multiple other uses as well, very interesting technique). The story can almost be hard to bear because it starts off with our main being left for dead after having multiple holes put into his body by another martial artist who later walks away with the love of his life. Yes, this is how the story begins.

How many series can you think of that starts the main off in a, "FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU" situation like that? I knew I was going to be hooked as soon as I saw the first episode. One great aspect this series has going for it is the fact that the main is not Superman like many mains of modern anime today.

He doesn't make it to the scene on time every time. He can't prevent EVERYTHING from happening simply because he wants to. You can really feel for Kenshiro and relate to him in some situations unlike most mains of modern anime who can simply break boundaries just because they want to do so.

Putting that aside though, the music is epic. It's very easy to get hooked on the 80's music in the anime, vocal or not. Now, there is one thing I've heard is a bit annoying to some "would be" Hokuto no Ken fans.

The characters in the anime usually call out the name of their techniques before using them. This was typical for old anime (look at Saint Seiya for example) and especially Shounen anime. It is still popular to do so even today, so I'm not really sure what the problem is, but I suppose it is something to keep in mind if you are wanting to pick up the most manly anime to ever grace the world of anime. While the music is really epic, much like the other anime I've described that I like, the animation is also fantastic for its time.

You can actually see how Kenshiro's hair grows over time during the series and his facial features change. I wish more anime did this today. The story is also fantastic as there aren't any contradictions, surprisingly.

Now, I will admit, the second season of HnK is a bit rocky and there probably was a contradiction in there at some point, on a whole, there aren't really any plotholes. HnK does a fantastic job of explaining things and even though it may take some time, depending on what it is, you'll get an answer. There are also a LOT of techniques to keep up with, but that just shows you how much effort was put into this series and how unique it is.

Anyway, I would highly suggest picking this up if you are an action buff and love martial arts (I should also mention this series is 100+ episodes too). There are also some comedic points in the series as well and some drama as well, so don't be surprised if you shed manly tears .

Well, that's my top three list and I know this post is long, but thanks for reading it (if you did that is, lol).

EDIT: Spell check
Do we have to only pick one? Is that even possible?!

Screw it. I don't see any rules for that here, so I'll give you my top 3, lol.

FMA, was the best from the fact it just catches you in the story line and you just want to watch more and more until you watched them all and you cry =*( (10/10)

Bleach, it was not as good as FMA but it hsyt keeps going and going, but the story line gets slow, (9/10)
