I can't believe I'm the first to reply to this. I am a big fan of Miles Davis. He pretty much carried Jazz on his back for like three decades. He worked with so many other Jazz giants and he released so much good and varied material. My personal favourite album is On The Corner. It's just, wow! There's so much going on and so many sounds I can barely believe were possible (technology and imagination-wise circa 1972).

Yes, definitely a fan over here! I get very heart broken when I meet people who haven't listened to him. I basically tell them that they haven't lived yet, so I must share the magic. I grew up listening to his stuff and I'm forever grateful for that. He's very inspirational to me and definitely gave so much to music.

I'm a huge fan of Miles Davis, his music has such a deep feel to it. I'm also a fan of Coltrane.

For me, there doesn't seem to be any inspirational artists anymore, just generic cookie cutter poo poo(mostly). It's good to have all the old musical compositions archived on the internet so people can still hear what actual music is.
