God this game is hard!  but it is sure fun. This arcade classic got ported to various systems such as the Atari 2600, 5200, 7800, Colecovision, etc. The Colecovision version is the one I will talk about today. 

GAMEPLAY B+: The game is very fun to play, like many arcade classics Centipede will be fun forever. Heck I'll probably still be playing in the future. The game offers, fast action and non stop enjoyment. The goal is simple too, just shoot the centipede that crawls down the screen back and forth, and you will advance to the next round. That's all you defeat, there are spiders, scorpions, and hideous fleas that try to stop you. The spider stays at the near bottom of the screen, and he is a colossal pain in the but to destroy! The spider moves so fast that hes very hard to shoot. The flea does not do much, every now and then it falls down and try's kill you. The scorpion is the jackpot of points, it goes across the top of the screen changing the colors of the mushrooms.

GRAPHICS B: I usually rate the graphics of Colecovision games high because of how much it can do. This game does not quite "push" the limits of the Colecovision, however the insects are fluidly animated and the game is very fast. Still Centipede looks a little more simple than other Colecovision games.

SOUND A: The sound effects are quite nice sounding and they fit real well with the chaotic gameplay of this game.

ADDICTIVENESS B+: The exciting gameplay will give you hours of fun. Even though Centipede is more of a game for score. You'll still have timeless fun with this game.

DEPTH B+: The depth is not insane like Mr Do. The game gets faster as you go and the mushrooms change color as you play the game.

DIFFICULTY Medium: The game is quite action packed, which makes the game fairly difficult, but honestly the difficulty is quite balanced.

OVERALL RATING B+

tips

1. Try to shoot the scorpion for 1000 points!
2. Shooting the spider is tough, make sure its going slow and is up high to shoot it!
3. You get an extra life every 10,000 points so rank up as many points as you can
