Everybody has at least one annoying habit that they habitually perform.



The most annoying habit that I have is chewing my nails. It's an unconscious action for me so I chew on them without even noticing it. I usually don't notice until it starts hurting /really/ bad or I start bleeding, at which point it is too late to stop.



So what's yours? Did you have any in the past that you broke? How?

Oldschool41 : Never seen it. I know I annoyed my teachers when I was bored because I would lose focus, sleep, or do something completely unrelated to the class. Thankfully, I'm out so no more issue of that.

Annette : It's definitely not a fun habit. I've tried every thing I can to stop. Jolly Ranchers were the most successful for me. Peppermint next to that. I'm told to try gum every time but I can't because I'm allergic to sugar-free stuff and gum is too sugary. It has this strange reaction of causing my gums to swell in the back around my wisdom teeth.

Yeah Gum or Jolly Ranchers (not the lollypops ones) helps out. Also try Laffy Taffy, Warheads, or Twizzlers.

One bad habit I use to have was burping loudly during dinner time with the family. There were times when I use to burp every 2 minutes and it would get annoying when my mom, dad and others are trying to enjoy their food. It was something I could not help and I made sure to say excuse me each time that happened. I'm glad that habit has stopped for good.
