Yesterday, I got my 2 recovery DVD's. So, i put Windows Vista back on my laptop. Afterwards, I wanted to burn Ubuntu Intreped Ibex onto a CD so i could dual boot my laptop. Vista wanted to format the CD. I let it. However, the formating took up 200mb. Then, I was unable to store Ubuntu onto the CD.

So, I downloaded a program called Imgburn. After a hint of effort, the CD was successfully burned. Then, i restarted my computer and installed Intreped Ibex.

Now, my computer has a split HDD. 60% for Vista, 40% for Ubuntu.

Dual-Boot status=successful. Now, my laptop is a dual-boot machine.


PS: Ubuntu Intreped Ibex is Ubuntu 8.10. Intreped Ibex is the nickname for 8.10

A.) I can browser without an ounce of common sense
B.) I don't have to worry about if that site's safe, if this browser's safe, if my antivirus is good, etc.

find out if theres antivirus for linux Ras, dont buy into that rubbish that "it doesnt need it because of permissions blah blah" or "Linux and its applications don't depend on file extensions to identify the properties of a file, so they won't mistakenly execute malware as they interact with it" because that does not mean you couldnt run the virus (activating it) and spread it to the windows partition.

Actually, there aren't but about 100 viruses for Linux... A virus for Windows is made to get past Windows security code and get around your computer via Windows functions. A windows virus can't affect a Linux computer.

However, I am gonna get an anti-virus for Linux just so my Windows doesn't get really freaked up.
