I got an FC Twin about a year ago. It can play NES and SNES games. I started playing Lion King and it is ridiculous!! Not only is it hard, but the game is cheap. You have to swing off of hippos tails but instead of making it to where it was easy, your paws have to touch the tail to swing on it. And, most of the time, you still fall and die.

I haven't even gotten past Level 2. You even have to ride on flamingos. After flamingo ride #2, there is a part that is hard to get past. I can't figure it out.


For this to be a game targeted for children, it makes even a 12, nearly 13, year old fringe.

I got the Lion King for SNES when I was about 10 or 12, I didnt have any troubles beating it. Sure it was a little difficult but it was a nice change from easier games at the time like the lost vikings and bubsy.

Jump on the second rynos horn, theres a 1up. Roar at the monkey close to the first ryno then bounce off the first ryno which will take you to the next spot. Roar at the monkeys close to you when you land, then go through the logs to the left (theres a 1up somewhere I think) launch yourself off the first ryno and you'll finish.

The reason Lion King is so hard is because games had to be much shorter back then due to technical limitations. How would you feel if you were to buy a game for $40+ and breeze through it in an afternoon? If a game is too easy, it can be completed too quickly, leaving the player feeling cheated when it's over.

It's a double edged sword. On one hand, artificial difficulty is usually really cheap and it's easy to lose your temper when you die for the 10th time in the exact same spot. However, you get a wonderful sense of accomplishment when you finally finish it. Stick with it.
